Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leroy Green! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Chambers! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Green lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Chambers at a distance.
Chambers fails with a takedown attempt. Green stuffs the takedown attempt from Chambers. Chambers gets slowly back to his feet. Chambers fails with the takedown. Leroy Green has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Chambers. Good standup being displayed there by Green as he connects with a hook. Green drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Chambers is trying to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chambers on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Green advances nicely into full mount. Chambers is trying to escape the mount.

Chambers is desperately trying to improve his position but Green has a good base and remains in mount. Green pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Green looking to control but Chambers is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Chambers tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Green wants to control the pace but Chambers is squirming around nicely. That's three minutes gone in the round. Green has control of Chambers's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Chambers regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Chambers is looking to get to half guard. Green trying to control but Chambers is having none of it. Chambers is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Green working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Green with a couple of short strikes. Chambers bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Green is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Chambers postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Leroy Green dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Green misses with a looping right. Chambers keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Green throws an overhand right that lands on Chambers's shoulder, as Chambers tries to avoid the shot. Chambers fails to land with a series of punches.
Leroy Green seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chambers has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Chambers there as he acknowledges the shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Green is looking to clinch but Chambers is avoiding it.
Chambers shoots and misses and Green counters with a shoot takedown. Chambers fights it but they end up in guard. Chambers is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Green loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Chambers is looking for a triangle here but Green uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Green wants to lay and pray for a moment but Chambers keeps working. Green scoring with punches and elbows. Chambers is trying to get back to half guard. Green takes a little break here. Chambers wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Chambers throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.

Chambers is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Green is pressing down on Chambers's thigh, looking to free his foot. Chambers is holding on for now. Green thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Chambers's head. Chambers wants to get back to full guard but Green has passed into side control. Chambers is trying to escape the mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Green lands a nice shot to the head. Green breaks from Chambers's wrist control and lands an elbow. The referee warns Chambers that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Green wants to finish this one by submission but Chambers is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Green. Chambers bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Green working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Chambers has passed into half guard!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Chambers is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Chambers trying to control the position from guard on top but Green is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Green is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Chambers drops back, looking for a kneebar! Green looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Green looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Green! Green in side control, just content to control the action for now. Green throwing strikes but missing, from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Leroy Green dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Green shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Chambers counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Chambers works his foot free and advances to mount. Green keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Chambers is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Green has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Green! Chambers pulls Green in close to prevent any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Green postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Chambers looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Green has picked Chambers up and slammed him! Chambers can't keep hold of the triangle and Green manages to pass to side control! Green is looking to take a break and control but Chambers is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Chambers holding on. Chambers takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Green thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Chambers sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Chambers tries to get to full guard but Green has control of the leg. Green trying to control from half guard but Chambers is working away. Green tries to pass to full mount but Chambers defends it. Green is trying to control the action in half guard but Chambers is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Chambers is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Chambers looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. James Chambers has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. A looping hook to the body misses from Chambers. Green does a little dance to reset his feet. Green misses with a hook. Chambers ducked under it nicely. Green tries to clinch but Chambers moves out of range. Chambers slips a jab from Green. Green bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Leroy Green is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Green takes a little break here. Chambers wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Chambers is looking to reverse the position. Green is looking to take a break and control but Chambers is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Chambers tries to buck Green off but Green is having none of it. Green has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Chambers looking for a sweep but Green has passed into full mount! Oh no! Chambers is trying desperately to improve position.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to James Chambers. Well Green has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
