Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Poirier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Huey Winner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Winner is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: It's time for war. Huey Winner will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dan Poirier! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Huey Winner! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Winner has Poirier up against the cage in a clinch.
Poirier tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Winner just stands there and leans against the cage. Poirier tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Poirier manages to break the clinch.
Winner waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Poirier. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Poirier to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Poirier is rocked!
It looks like Dan Poirier has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Winner is pushing down on Poirier's leg trying to pass to half guard. Poirier is fighting to maintain full guard but Winner has managed to sneak the leg through. Oh Poirier is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Winner uses his free foot to push down on Poirier's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Poirier. Poirier seems to have got his legs back now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Winner takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Winner wants to finish this one by submission but Poirier is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Winner. Winner wants to take his opponent's back but instead Poirier manages to regain half guard. Poirier looks like he's trying to stand up.
Winner is working for a submission of some sort.
Winner seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Poirier does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Poirier is looking for a sweep. Winner is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Winner wants to pass the guard but Poirier is defending well. Winner is working for a submission of some sort.
Poirier wants to control but Winner is keeping busy.
Poirier throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Winner wants to free his trapped foot but Poirier is holding on for dear life with his legs.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Poirier moves away from the strike by Winner.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Poirier misses with a few strikes there.

Winner pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Winner throws a shot from downtown. Poirier moves away and avoids it. Poirier slips a jab from Winner. Winner misses with a looping left. Winner throws the left hand but Poirier avoids the punch easily. Winner pulls out of a head kick attempt.

It looks like Huey Winner has been cut. No joy there for Poirier, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Winner misses with a looping right. Winner throws a leg kick but Poirier moved away. Winner connects with a crisp jab. Poirier ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Winner throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Poirier sees it coming and avoids it easily. Huey Winner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A telegraphed right hand from Winner misses the target. Poirier gets in close and instigates a clinch. Winner breaks from the clinch.
Winner throws a low kick but Poirier avoids it. Huey Winner is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Poirier tries to clinch there but Winner circles away.
Poirier has closed the distance and engaged Winner in a clinch.
Poirier pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Winner throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Winner is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Poirier gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Winner wants to break free but Poirier has control.

Poirier throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Winner takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Winner throws a hook to the side of Poirier's head but Poirier sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Winner thows a left - swing and a miss! Poirier misses with a wild body shot. Winner dodges the punch combination from Poirier.
Winner misses with an uppercut. Poirier saw that one coming. Winner throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Winner misses with a looping right. The fighters circling - Winner throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Winner connects with a good right hand that stumbles Poirier. Poirier circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Winner is looking to slow Poirier down with leg kicks. Poirier looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Winner looks gassed! Winner jabbing away but nothing is landing. Poirier uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Winner. Poirier closes the distance and lands a one-two. This has been an exciting period of action! Winner throws a combination that misses and Poirier counters with a head kick that drops Winner to the mat! Winner scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Winner is rocked! Poirier connects with a solid leg kick. Poirier scores with a spinning back kick! That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Winner crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Poirier - the referee stops the clock and Winner gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Poirier. Winner manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Winner takes one to the chin there. Poirier moves into the clinch. Poirier tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Winner just stands there and leans against the cage. Poirier tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Poirier tries to pull guard but Winner holds him up against the cage and eventually Poirier drops back down to his feet.
Poirier drags the fight down to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Poirier is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Poirier is trying to control the position but Winner postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Dan Poirier will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Winner throws out a loose jab but Poirier uses good head movement to avoid it. Winner lands a jab to the nose. Poirier tries to move into range but Winner moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Poirier is looking to clinch but Winner is avoiding it.

Winner throws a leg kick which misses Poirier's front leg but catches the back leg as Poirier tries to avoid it. Winner pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Poirier misses the shot to the body. Poirier ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Winner throws a hook but Poirier avoids it easily. Poirier takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Winner misses with a hook. Dan Poirier is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Winner waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Poirier. Poirier throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Winner wants to slow Poirier down by chopping away at his legs. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Poirier misses with a hook. Winner rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Poirier moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Winner misses with a hook. Poirier ducked under it nicely. Winner flashes Poirier a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Poirier's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Poirier crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Winner punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
