Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Danny Boyka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Doherty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Danny Boyka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, James Doherty! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Glass and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Doherty scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Boyka keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Doherty. Doherty thumps Boyka with a low kick. Boyka keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
The fighters circling - Doherty throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Doherty fails in his attempt to clinch. Doherty goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Doherty tries to clinch up but Boyka circles away and keeps his distance. Doherty is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Boyka misses with the combination.
Boyka wants to clinch but Doherty slips to the side and Doherty counters with a head kick. That will keep Boyka thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Boyka uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Doherty. Boyka avoids a kick to the body.
Doherty tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Boyka counters by moving into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boyka's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Doherty thows a leg kick but Boyka checks it and Boyka counters by moving into the clinch. Boyka just leaning against Doherty, taking a breather. Boyka keeps control of Doherty as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Doherty is trying to break the clinch but Boyka has him pressed against the cage. Doherty tries to break the clinch but Boyka is controlling the position. Doherty wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Boyka has him pressed against the cage. Boyka breaks from the clinch.
Doherty throws a left and a right that both miss
and Boyka counters by moving into the clinch. Doherty escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Boyka finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Boyka's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Boyka duly obliges. Doherty pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A head kick misses from Boyka. Boyka is looking to clinch. Doherty swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Boyka counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Boyka escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Doherty jabs Boyka right on the nose. Boyka blinks but takes it well. A combination from Doherty does no damage. Doherty pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Doherty blocks a head kick by Boyka.
Doherty throws a looping overhand right but Boyka ducks down to avoid it. Doherty closes the distance but Boyka moves to the side and Boyka counters with a nice double leg into side control. Doherty won't be happy with that. Boyka slows the pace down. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boyka is working Doherty over with some ground and pound from side control. Boyka content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Doherty wants to control but Boyka postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Doherty is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Boyka is controlling him well. Doherty seems a little lost for a moment, as Boyka dominates the positioning. Boyka passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Doherty! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Danny Boyka dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Doherty misses with a looping left. Doherty throws a looping overhand right but Boyka ducks down to avoid it. A big right from Doherty misses. A bone on bone clash there as Doherty blocks the leg kick.
Boyka is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Doherty misses with a looping left. Doherty jabbing away but nothing is landing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boyka gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Doherty closes the distance looking to clinch and Boyka counters by clinching up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doherty wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Boyka has him pressed against the cage. Boyka breaks from the clinch.
Boyka shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Boyka is taking a breather. Doherty says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Boyka stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Doherty to get to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Doherty connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Doherty lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Boyka circles away quickly and effectively. A punch combination from Doherty misses. Doherty is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Doherty throws a looping overhand right but Boyka ducks down to avoid it. Boyka swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Doherty, right into the meat.
Doherty stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Doherty wants it to stay on the feet. A jab from Doherty misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doherty feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Boyka's calf. No joy there for Doherty, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Doherty missing with a left hand there. Boyka was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Doherty swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Boyka counters with a head kick. That will keep Doherty thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! A big right from Doherty misses. Doherty tries to clinch up and Boyka counters with a low kick, right behind Doherty 's knee. Doherty misses with the combination.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Doherty checks a leg kick. Doherty swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Doherty closes the distance but Boyka moves to the side and Boyka counters with a takedown into side control. Boyka content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Boyka decides to take the fight back to the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Danny Boyka dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Doherty bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Doherty misses with a combination
and Boyka counters with a nice double leg into side control. Doherty won't be happy with that. Boyka trying to control the action but Doherty is working from the bottom. Doherty tries to escape but Boyka is in control. Doherty stops Boyka from passing to mount. Boyka remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doherty is trying to get back to his feet. Boyka controlling from side mount. Boyka's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Boyka is looking to take a break and control but Doherty is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Boyka taking a breather here.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Danny Boyka just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Doherty tries to clinch up and Boyka counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Doherty! Doherty wants to control but Boyka is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Doherty is in all sorts of trouble here.
Boyka tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. James Doherty has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
And that's the end of the fight! Danny Boyka showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Boyka, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
