Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Robson Armstrong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Caesar Diaz! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Ackerman and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz scores with a hook to the body. Armstrong takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Diaz lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Armstrong lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Diaz circles away quickly and effectively. A telegraphed right hand from Armstrong misses the target. Armstrong misses with a double jab.

Armstrong pivots, looking for a leg kick but Diaz is out of range and Armstrong settles back down. Diaz lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Armstrong shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Diaz is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

You can't force these things though and Armstrong defends well. Armstrong trying to control the position from guard on top but Diaz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. That's eight minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Armstrong trying to control from half guard but Diaz is working away. Armstrong is controlling the pace.
Diaz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Diaz actively working from the bottom here. Diaz looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Armstrong throws a combination that misses letting Diaz counter with a right hand. Diaz swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Armstrong closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Diaz trying to control from the bottom.
Armstrong works his way into full mount! Armstrong is landing with some decent strikes but Diaz is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Diaz really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Diaz misses with a wild body shot. Diaz connects with a crisp jab. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Diaz uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Armstrong. Diaz paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Diaz throws an overhand right that lands on Armstrong's shoulder, as Armstrong tries to avoid the shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Armstrong waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Diaz. Diaz fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Diaz ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Armstrong shoots for a double leg takedown but Diaz sprawls well. He's pushed Armstrong's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Armstrong thows a leg kick but Diaz checks it and Diaz cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Armstrong is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Diaz's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Diaz slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Diaz moves out of range of the strikes. Armstrong fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Diaz manages to avoid it. Diaz jabs at Armstrong's body. Diaz has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Diaz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Armstrong takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Armstrong misses with a looping left. Caesar Diaz seems to be getting the better of the standup. Diaz connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Robson Armstrong is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Diaz throws a sloppy head kick and Armstrong moves out of range easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Armstrong misses with a body kick. Armstrong slips a straight right by Diaz. Caesar Diaz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Diaz keeps Armstrong at a distance using the push kick. A slapping body kick lands there for Diaz. Diaz closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Armstrong is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Diaz closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Armstrong! Diaz dives in looking to finish! Armstrong is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
