Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mark Pineda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Semenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Semenko is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Sure Fire Winners. Steven Semenko is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Pineda! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steven Semenko! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Pineda as Semenko shoots in. Pineda connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Semenko tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pineda paws at him with a jab and circles away. Nice uppercut lands for Pineda. That snapped Semenko's head back.
Semenko misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Semenko shoots for a double leg takedown but Pineda sprawls well. He's pushed Semenko's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Mark Pineda has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steven Semenko. Semenko tries for a takedown but Pineda sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Pineda is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. A jab from Pineda finds it's way through Semenko's defenses. Semenko misses with a takedown attempt - Pineda sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Good shot there by Pineda. Pineda tests Semenko's chin there with a solid looking shot. Pineda lands a really nice looking cross but Semenko seems unphased.

Steven Semenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pineda is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Pineda is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Pineda is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Semenko shoots in but Pineda avoids the takedown attempt easily. Semenko looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Semenko looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. Jab from Pineda. Nice shot lands for Pineda. Semenko fails miserably with a takedown attempt. No luck for Semenko with that takedown attempt. Pineda is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Semenko fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pineda avoids it really well and circles away. A left lands for Pineda. Decent striking displayed by Pineda there. Semenko is trying desperately to land a takedown but Pineda is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Semenko. Semenko shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pineda sprawls well. Pineda wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Semenko gets slowly back to his feet. Pineda lands with a straight right. Semenko didn't see that one coming. Pineda scores with a three punch combo!

Semenko takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pineda connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Semenko fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Pineda is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Semenko takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Semenko shoots in looking for a takedown. Pineda tries to sprawl out of it but Semenko keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pineda manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Pineda lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Pineda lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Semenko tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pineda swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Pineda fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Semenko on the side of the head. Pineda connects with a good right hand that stumbles Semenko. Semenko circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Semenko is rocked! Nice jab there from Pineda. Semenko is still on wobbly legs! Can Pineda finish him? Pineda fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Pineda lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Pineda connects with a single shot there. No luck for Semenko with that takedown attempt. Semenko seems to have recovered his senses. A lazy left from Pineda finds it's target. Semenko walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pineda moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Pineda is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Semenko fails to land the takedown. Semenko takes one to the chin there. Semenko takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Semenko walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Pineda fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pineda lands a lovely overhand right. Pineda lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Decent striking displayed by Pineda there. Semenko takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Pineda smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Nice straight punches there by Pineda. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Pineda. Good exchange - Pineda coming out on top. Pineda cracks Semenko with an open hand slap. Pineda shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Semenko napping and manages to drive through into side control! Pineda will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Pineda lands a nice forearm strike. Pineda lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Pineda creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Pineda has an Americana. Semenko didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Pineda is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Pineda hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
