kara shoots for a takedown but Nelson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

kara tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Nelson takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Nelson moves into the clinch successfully.

Nelson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. kara did well to prevent Nelson getting side control.

Nelson seems to be working for a kimura but kara defends the submission attempt.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Nelson in particular looking to stall.
kara is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Nelson pulls his head out easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Nelson forces kara back against the cage and clinches.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

kara drops down looking for an ankle pick but Nelson pulls his leg out and moves away.

and Nelson counters with a crisp one two that drops kara! Nelson thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves kara to his feet! kara is in big trouble!

This has been an exciting period of action!
kara checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Nelson lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. kara is looking to close the distance but Nelson sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! kara crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope kara is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
