Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lars Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dylan Sam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lars Storm! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dylan Sam! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Mauricio Rocha and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Storm leaves Sam with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Sam shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Storm pulls Sam in close to his closed guard and prevents Sam from doing any damage or advancing position. Sam wants to stand but Storm is controlling his posture from full guard. Storm wants to sweep here but Sam controlling him for the moment. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Storm holds on and takes a little breather. Sam trying to control but Storm is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Storm manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sam manages to get himself to full guard.
Storm decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Sam, up you get! Sam fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Sam misses with a series of wild punches.
Storm scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Sam doesn't seem bothered though. A head kick misses from Storm. Sam closes the distance and clinches. Storm wants to break free but Sam has control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Storm circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sam gets in close and instigates a clinch. Sam misses with some punches.
Storm looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Sam tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Storm just stands there and leans against the cage. Lars Storm has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dylan Sam. Sam goes for a takedown attempt but Storm pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Storm will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Storm throws a nice looking combination but Sam bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Sam shoots in for a takedown but Storm shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Sam looks gassed! Sam throws a head kick but Storm moves out of range.

and Sam counters with a single leg into guard. Storm didn't expect that.
That's three minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Storm is on top in guard.
Sam has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Storm has passed into side control.
Storm passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Sam! Storm takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Storm with a couple of short strikes. Storm connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Storm has hold of Sam's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Sam manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Storm breaks from Sam's wrist control and lands an elbow. Sam tries to buck Storm off but he can't manage it. Sam is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Storm punishing his opponent with strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Storm is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Sam to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Sam shrugs it off. Sam tries to lock up and control but Storm gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Lars Storm will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

and Sam counters by moving into the clinch. Sam pulls guard effortlessly. Sam looking for a guillotine here but Storm defends easily.
Storm has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Storm looking to pass the guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Storm stands and steps away. Sam gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Sam misses with a jab to the body
and Storm counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. A punch combination from Storm misses. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Storm keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Storm throws a series of punches but Sam avoids them all with ease. Sam uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Storm. Storm smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Storm tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sam was well out of range. Poor timing from Storm. Sam takes one to the chin there. Sam tries to close the distance and clinch but Storm swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Storm's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Storm duly obliges. Storm has Sam up against the cage in a clinch.

Lars Storm has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dylan Sam. Storm wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Storm throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Storm gets through Sam's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Storm looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Storm wants to get back to striking at distance but Sam won't allow it.

Sam pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Sam tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Storm paws at him with a jab and circles away. Sam is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Storm. Storm throws a good cross that connects.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Storm throws a lazy head kick and Sam decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Storm's guard. Sam trying to control the position from guard on top but Storm is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Storm on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Storm tries to get out of the position. Storm has control of Sam's left arm, preventing Sam from doing any damage. Sam stands up from guard. Let's bang! Sam tries to clinch but Storm moves out of range. Sam throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. No joy there for Storm, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sam avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Lars Storm will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Sam closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Storm swats away the attempt to clinch by Sam. Sam uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Storm. A head kick by Storm misses and Sam counters with a good low kick that Storm was not able to check. Horrible takedown by Sam or perhaps it was just good defense by Storm which made him look bad. Storm tries to clinch but Sam moves away and Sam counters with a leg kick. Storm misses with a jab to the body
and Sam counters with a left to the body. Storm is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Storm misses with a wild combination.
Sam dives in and grabs Storm's left leg, looking for a takedown. Storm pushes down on Sam's head and hops out. Sam changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Storm looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Storm tries to buck Sam off but Sam is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sam wants to control but Storm is keeping him busy. Sam tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Storm is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Sam is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Sam lands a big shot there that rocks Storm but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Storm tries to hold on but Sam postures up. Sam is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Storm swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sam counters with an outside leg kick.
Sam is looking to clinch but Storm is avoiding it.
Storm cracks a nice hook into Sam's ribs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Sam with a poor takedown and Storm counters with a straight right hand. Lars Storm has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dylan Sam. Sam doesn't manage to clinch there - Storm circles away.
Sam throws a push kick but Storm slaps the foot to one side. Storm looks to land a combination but Sam avoids it well. Sam throws a sloppy head kick and Storm moves out of range easily. A nice inside leg kick there by Sam. That's going to slow Storm down. Sam slips a jab and a cross from Storm.
Storm throws a combination. Sam tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Sam dodges the punch combination from Storm.
Storm sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Sam tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Storm ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sam moves away. Sam clinches. Sam prevents Storm from breaking the clinch. Storm blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Sam escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Sam gets control of Storm's arms and successfully pulls guard. Sam will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Storm slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Dylan Sam has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lars Storm is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
And that's the end of the fight! Dylan Sam comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Storm has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
