Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patty Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). White comes to the cage accompanied by Atreyu- You were the king, now your unconcsious. The crowd seem to be enjoying Patterson's choice of entrance music: The Faint - Hospital. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
White thows a body shot but no joy.
Patterson dives in and grabs White's left leg, looking for a takedown. White pushes down on Patterson's head and hops out.
White throws a right and a left that both miss.
A punch lands to the side of Patterson 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Patterson fails with the takedown.
Patterson tries to score a power double leg takedown but White sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Patterson somewhat.

Patterson shoots for a double leg takedown but White sprawls well. He's pushed Patterson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

White uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Patterson has time to react.

White fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Patterson manages to avoid it.

Patterson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming White to the mat! White manages to get full guard.

Patterson throws and elbow that misses. White uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Patterson's guard. Nice move by White!
Patterson has his foot on White's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. White works his way back into a safe position though.

White has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Patterson is proving hard to escape from.
White knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Patterson on the ground.
White trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
White might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

White is controlling Patterson's trapped leg to prevent Patterson from advancing to side control.

Patterson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. White doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Patterson.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
White wants to improve his position but Patterson is controlling well.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Patterson is looking for a kimura but White is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Patterson to get the leverage.

John White is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
White is trying to get back to full guard.

I would just about give that final round to Patty Patterson.
