Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Panther (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Angelo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Panther!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Angelo!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Panther displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Angelo throws out the jab.
Panther is trying hard to land a takedown here. Angelo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Angelo throws a shot from downtown. Panther moves away and avoids it.

Angelo throws a series of punches but Panther avoids them all with ease.

Panther changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Angelo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Panther goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Angelo rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Panther's guard! Nice work there by Angelo!

Angelo decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Panther. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Panther is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Angelo's half guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Angelo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Panther is working away from the top position though.

Panther is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Angelo sees it coming and defends easily.

Angelo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Panther is controlling him.

Angelo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Panther's guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Angelo wants to control but Panther is having none of it.
Panther is landing with some decent strikes but Angelo is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Panther closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Panther has Angelo pressed against the cage, preventing Angelo from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

John Panther is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Angelo misses with a head kick.
Angelo throws a lazy right hand but Panther sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Horrible takedown by Angelo or perhaps it was just good defense by Panther which made him look bad.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Panther fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Angelo.

Panther closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Angelo wants to control but Panther is keeping busy and won't allow it.

John Panther showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Panther, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
