Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vladmir Pastroyka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clark Kent! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Pastroyka. No joy for Kent on that attempt. Kent shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Pastroyka misses with a takedown and Kent counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Kent looking to sit in guard and control but Pastroyka gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kent working for a triangle but Pastroyka defends it easily.
Kent is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Pastroyka has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Kent manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pastroyka manages to get himself to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kent throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pastroyka works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Pastroyka utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kent pushing down on Pastroyka's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Pastroyka is breathing heavily. Pastroyka is not content to let Kent control the position. Pastroyka wants to improve his position but Kent is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kent lands strikes from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Pastroyka makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Pastroyka. Pastroyka keeping full guard, as Kent tries to pass. Kent trying to control but Pastroyka is working from the bottom. Kent has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kent is looking to work some ground and pound but Pastroyka has wrist control. Kent drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Pastroyka dives on top into guard. Pastroyka distracts Kent with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Kent has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pastroyka can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pastroyka stopping the sweep attempt from Kent. Pastroyka trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Kent is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pastroyka defends well. Pastroyka preventing the sweep. Pastroyka connects with a couple of short punches. Kent looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Pastroyka got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kent has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pastroyka has managed to get both his arms back between Kent's legs - danger averted. Pastroyka works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Pastroyka is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Kent looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Pastroyka working Kent over with strikes. Kent is not content to let Pastroyka control the position. Pastroyka is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kent is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The fighters are battling for position here. Kent manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Kent looking for a sweep. Not yet Kent, not yet. Kent has momentary wrist control but Pastroyka slips an elbow through the middle. Kent working for a triangle but Pastroyka defends it easily.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Pastroyka connects with a nice short shot to Kent's temple. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Clark Kent dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Kent gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Pastroyka counters with a shoot takedown. Kent fights it but they end up in guard. Kent is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pastroyka is aware though and is defending well. Kent wants to sweep here but Pastroyka controlling him for the moment. Kent should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Kent has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pastroyka can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Pastroyka is working Kent over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Pastroyka sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kent's guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Pastroyka scoring with strikes to the body and head. Kent looking for submissions off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pastroyka is nestled in close to Kent, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Pastroyka working over Kent with some ground and pound. Kent looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Kent is looking for a sweep. Pastroyka is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Pastroyka seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Kent is defending against the submission attempts here by Pastroyka.
Pastroyka prevents Kent from improving his position. Kent is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Pastroyka tries to close the distance and clinch but Kent swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Pastroyka fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kent manages to avoid it. Kent circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kent tries for a takedown but Pastroyka circles away easily and Pastroyka counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pastroyka passes to full mount! Pastroyka prevents Kent from getting the reversal. Pastroyka scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Pastroyka working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Kent is trying desperately to improve position. The referee warns Kent that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Pastroyka is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kent can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kent in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Pastroyka landing punches. Kent is trying desperately to improve position. Pastroyka raining down shots from the mount! Kent is trying desperately to improve position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's one minute gone in the round. Pastroyka working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kent's head. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Pastroyka won't allow Kent to sweep him here. The fighters roll with the hold and Kent manages to kick Pastroyka off! Pastroyka jumps back into Kent's guard. Kent manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kent drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Pastroyka manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kent has Pastroyka in his guard. Pastroyka wants to control from the top but Kent keeps moving. Kent had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pastroyka defends it easily. Pastroyka content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Kent is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Pastroyka connects with a couple of short punches. Kent looking for subs off his back but Pastroyka has passed one foot through into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pastroyka lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Kent slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Pastroyka is working Kent over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Pastroyka stands up over Kent, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Kent is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kent wants to sweep here but Pastroyka controlling him for the moment. Pastroyka working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Pastroyka doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pastroyka manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Vladmir Pastroyka. Well Pastroyka has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
