Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Darin Blood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trevor Tuffs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tuffs has chosen Korn Blind as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darin Blood! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Trevor Tuffs! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blood drives through and clinches with Tuffs against the cage.
Tuffs has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Blood is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Blood is pressed up against the cage. Tuffs has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Blood down to the mat. Blood avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Blood throws a head kick that misses. Blood lands a jab-cross combination.
It looks like Trevor Tuffs has been cut. Blood looks to land a combination but Tuffs avoids it well. Tuffs gets the takedown into side control. Tuffs tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Tuffs cracks Blood with a big elbow. Tuffs thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Blood is trying to buck Tuffs off. Blood tries to get back to half guard but can't. Tuffs tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Blood is trying to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tuffs is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Blood is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Tuffs tries to move into full mount but can't pass Blood's legs. Blood is trying to get back to half guard. Blood sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Blood tries to get to full guard but Tuffs has control of the leg. Tuffs blocks the strikes from Blood.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Blood manages to get to full guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Blood wants to sweep here but Tuffs controlling him for the moment. Tuffs drops back looking for a leg! Blood is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Blood manages to kick Tuffs off! Tuffs jumps back into Blood's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Blood looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tuffs is one step ahead there. Tuffs avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Tuffs passes easily into side control. Nice work. Blood is looking to reverse the position. Tuffs thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Blood taking a bit of punishment here - Tuffs scoring with strikes.

Tuffs looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Tuffs looks gassed! Tuffs wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Blood, who protects the arm well. Blood wants to control but Tuffs postures up. Blood gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Blood manages to get to full guard.

Tuffs moves forwards but Blood connects with a nice, crisp jab. Blood shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Blood showed some decent athleticism there. Blood working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Blood works his way into full mount! Tuffs defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Blood. Blood is landing with some decent strikes but Tuffs is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Blood breaks from Tuffs's wrist control and lands an elbow. Blood tries to control but Tuffs wriggling away. Tuffs really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee warns Tuffs that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Tuffs sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Tuffs works his way to full guard. Good work. Tuffs is breathing heavily. Tuffs looking for a guillotine here but Blood defends easily.

Tuffs had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Blood defends it easily. Blood landing some decent shots from guard. Blood got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tuffs has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Blood has managed to get both his arms back between Tuffs's legs - danger averted. Trevor Tuffs has got the better of the ground game so far. Blood landing some decent shots from guard.

Blood throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tuffs works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Blood trying to control but Tuffs is working from the bottom. Blood postures up in Tuffs's guard and throws a big left but Tuffs blocks it.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Blood tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Blood is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Blood regains full guard. Nicely done. Tuffs is in close to Blood's body, working some short punches and elbows. Tuffs drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tuffs jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Blood wants to sweep here but Tuffs controlling him for the moment. Tuffs has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Blood to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Tuffs is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Blood pulls down on the head and he's put Tuffs to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Darin Blood! Darin Blood retains his middleweight title!
