Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderson Cro Cop! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ad San! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Felipe Paraventi and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! San shoots for a takedown but Cro Cop saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. San circles away from the clinch attempt.
Cro Cop will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cro Cop is looking to clinch but San is avoiding it.
Cro Cop really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Cro Cop takes the fight into the clinch. Cro Cop blocks an elbow strike. Cro Cop tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. San just stands there and leans against the cage. Cro Cop ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Cro Cop no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Cro Cop is trying to control the position but San postures up. San must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. San content to stall in guard here. San won't allow Cro Cop to sweep him here. Cro Cop will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Cro Cop manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. San manages to get himself to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cro Cop wants to control from the top but San keeps moving. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if San can do anything to dispel that myth. Cro Cop throwing strikes from guard but San blocks nicely. San has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. San keeping moving, preventing Cro Cop from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Cro Cop is really struggling to control San but he's trying to hold on to the position. San pulls Cro Cop in close to prevent any damage.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. San tries to clinch up and Cro Cop counters with a head kick. Cro Cop is trying hard to land a takedown here. San sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. San wants to clinch. Cro Cop fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anderson Cro Cop. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. San shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cro Cop defends it nicely. San looks to clinch and Cro Cop counters with a straight right hand. San circles away from the clinch attempt.
San tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cro Cop sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten San somewhat. Cro Cop fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Cro Cop is breathing heavily. Cro Cop lands with a kick to the temple. San shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" San throws a head kick but Cro Cop moves out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round. San misses with a takedown attempt - Cro Cop sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. San closes the distance but Cro Cop moves to the side and Cro Cop makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. San fails in his attempt to clinch. Cro Cop delivers a nice body kick. Cro Cop moves into range and clinches up with San. Cro Cop has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. San is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. San has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Cro Cop has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics San uses from the top position. San really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cro Cop. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Cro Cop tries to strike from the bottom.

Cro Cop wants to sweep but no luck. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anderson Cro Cop dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
San rushes Cro Cop and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. San wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Cro Cop has had enough of the clinch but San keeps him there for the moment. San is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Cro Cop has San pressed against the cage, preventing San from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Cro Cop keeps control of San as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. A frustrated look appears on San's face as he tries to break the clinch. Cro Cop utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Cro Cop stalling the fight.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cro Cop is struggling to control the position. Cro Cop manages to break the clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cro Cop throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Cro Cop misses with a takedown attempt - San sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. San throws a sloppy head kick and Cro Cop moves out of range easily. San misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. San shoots for a double leg takedown but Cro Cop sprawls well. He's pushed San's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. San clinches up with Cro Cop and pushes him back against the cage. Cro Cop putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has San in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Cro Cop wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. San drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Cro Cop gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Anderson Cro Cop has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ad San. Cro Cop jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as San walks away with a smile on his face. Cro Cop gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. San drives through and clinches with Cro Cop against the cage.
A short right from Cro Cop on the inside. San is looking to break free of the clinch but Cro Cop has double underhooks. Cro Cop goes for a takedown attempt but San pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
San misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. San shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cro Cop pinned against the cage. Cro Cop gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Cro Cop fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with San, pushing him back against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cro Cop is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but San is keeping busy. San is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Cro Cop keeps the fight in the clinch, despite San's efforts to push away. Cro Cop breaks the clinch.
Cro Cop keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Cro Cop is trying hard to land a takedown here. San sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Nice takedown defense from San. No joy for Cro Cop on that attempt. San shoots in for a double leg but Cro Cop sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Cro Cop shoots in but no luck this time. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nice takedown defense from Cro Cop. No joy for San on that attempt. San fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Cro Cop lets loose with a powerful body kick. San will feel that in the morning. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Anderson Cro Cop will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

That's three minutes gone in the round. San passes easily into side control. Nice work. Cro Cop is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked San off and has taken his back! Cro Cop looking to break San's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. San remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Cro Cop will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Cro Cop is not going to allow San to sit and survive in this position. Cro Cop has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, San has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
San is really stuck here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Cro Cop looking to hold on to the position here but San rolls and ends up regaining guard.
Cro Cop trying to control but San is working from the bottom. San looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Cro Cop wants to control from the top but San keeps moving. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Cro Cop tries to close the distance and clinch up but San swats him away and circles back towards the center. Ad San has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Anderson Cro Cop is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. San is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! Ad San comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Cro Cop has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
