Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marc Mambolou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Apolskis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Apolskis has chosen Like a G6 as his entrance music. David Apolskis is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marc Mambolou!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, David Apolskis!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Apolskis shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mambolou sprawls well. Mambolou wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Apolskis gets slowly back to his feet.
Mambolou tries to clinch there but Apolskis circles away.

Apolskis changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mambolou looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Mambolou is not content to let Apolskis control the position.

Apolskis is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mambolou is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Apolskis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mambolou keeps working.

Apolskis is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mambolou knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Apolskis thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Apolskis works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Mambolou is pushing Apolskis's head away, looking to escape. Apolskis manages to hold on to the position though.

Apolskis tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Apolskis has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Mambolou tries to bench press Apolskis off him but Apolskis keeps the position.
You can see the frustration on Mambolou's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Apolskis working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Mambolou pushes Apolskis away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Apolskis gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mambolou wants to get back to his feet but Apolskis drags him back down.
Mambolou tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Mambolou is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Apolskis is controlling him well.

Mambolou gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Mambolou is wriggling around trying to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Apolskis looking to control but Mambolou is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Mambolou knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Apolskis on the ground.
Mambolou is in a horrible position here. Apolskis smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Apolskis with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Mambolou on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mambolou tries to get out of the position.

Apolskis jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Mambolou manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Apolskis prevents Mambolou from escaping the position.
Mambolou trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Apolskis has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Mambolou is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Apolskis yanks on the arm and Mambolou is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Apolskis.
