Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alpa Chino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Bucholter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chino comes to the cage accompanied by Talkin' to Myself. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alpa Chino! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bob Bucholter! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chino closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bucholter circles away. Bucholter tries to close the distance and clinch but Chino swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Bucholter closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Chino to the mat! Chino manages to get full guard. Chino is pulling down on Bucholter's head. It's preventing any offense from Bucholter, at least for the moment. Bucholter controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Bucholter wants to pass the guard but Chino is keeping the position. Bucholter is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chino is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bucholter tries to free his leg and advance position but Chino is retaining full guard. Chino bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bucholter's guard. Bucholter is working an open guard so Chino takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Chino shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Chino showed some decent athleticism there. Chino working the head and body with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chino tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Bucholter. Chino is nestled in close to Bucholter, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Chino stands up and beckons Bucholter to join him on the feet. Bucholter gets a takedown into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Chino on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Chino tries to get out of the position. Chino wants to control but Bucholter is keeping busy.
Well, if Bucholter is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chino is positioning himself well to prevent Bucholter advancing to mount. Chino gets full guard. Bucholter trying to control but Chino is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bucholter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chino swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bucholter looks gassed! Bucholter is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Chino manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Chino working away from the top, dropping strikes. Bucholter is in a horrible position here. Chino smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Chino tries to control but Bucholter wriggling away. Chino unloading with bombs! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alpa Chino dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Chino misses with a takedown attempt and Bucholter counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Bucholter prevents Chino from improving his position. Chino moves into full guard.
Bucholter stays in close to Chino's body and controls the position. Chino looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bucholter is one step ahead there. Chino wants to stand and escape but Bucholter is having none of it. Chino might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Chino not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round. Chino bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bucholter's guard. Chino pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bucholter is keeping the position for now. Bucholter keeping moving, preventing Chino from controlling successfully. Bucholter is breathing heavily. Chino's corner is telling him to maintain position. Bucholter keeping moving, preventing Chino from controlling successfully. Chino throws and elbow that misses. Bucholter uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Chino's guard. Nice move by Bucholter! Bucholter must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Bucholter is stalling in the full guard. Bucholter trying to control the position from guard on top but Chino is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bucholter stands and throws Chino's legs to the side, diving into side control. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chino is looking for a sweep. Chino is trying to control Bucholter's posture but Bucholter avoids it. Bucholter taking a breather here. The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Bob Bucholter. Chino closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chino lands an elbow. Chino trying to control the action but Bucholter is working from the bottom. Bucholter takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Bob Bucholter will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Bucholter fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Chino sprawls well initially but Bucholter persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Alpa Chino overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Chino gets full guard. Bucholter is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Chino looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bucholter is one step ahead there. Chino is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Bucholter wants to pass the guard but Chino is keeping the position. Bucholter takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Bucholter fails with the takedown and Chino counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Chino tries to stand and escape but Bucholter is controlling the position. Bucholter is staying active underneath Chino, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Chino connects with a nice short shot to Bucholter's temple. Chino is trying to work for a kimura but Bucholter is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chino uses his free foot to push down on Bucholter's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bucholter. Chino can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bucholter is looking to escape. Bucholter takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chino controlling his opponent. Bucholter in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Chino looking to control and managing it successfully. Chino lands a heavy elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee warns Bucholter that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Chino lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Chino wants to control the pace but Bucholter is squirming around nicely. Chino with good strikes from the mount here! Chino lands a big elbow - Bucholter is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Bucholter is forced to tap out!
