Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Oil Slick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slick kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Careful With That Axe Eugene. Alex Stevens has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Oil Slick's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Oil Slick! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alex Stevens! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, David Schapiro and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stevens swinging wilding here.
Stevens closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Stevens lands in his opponent's guard. Slick has his foot on Stevens's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stevens works his way back into a safe position though. Slick escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stevens gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Stevens slips nicely into half guard. Stevens trying to control the pace. Slick trying to control here.
Slick is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Stevens wants to stand but Slick has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slick tries to roll over but Stevens keeps him under control. Stevens thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Slick's head. The fighters are battling for position here. Slick manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Stevens trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Slick has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stevens can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Stevens slips nicely into half guard. Slick wants to get back to full guard. Stevens seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Slick does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Stevens is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Slick regains full guard. Nicely done. Slick pushes a forearm under Stevens's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Stevens is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
