Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Ames (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jada Kiss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ames thows a body shot but no joy.
Ames throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A slow jab from Ames misses its intended target.

Ames shoots in and bounces Kiss off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kiss is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ames defends well.

Ames got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kiss has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ames has managed to get both his arms back between Kiss's legs - danger averted.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Kiss feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
