Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Aerts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Kukushkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kukushkin has chosen Kukushka as his entrance music. Alex Kukushkin is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Peter Aerts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alex Kukushkin! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Aerts does no damage. Aerts stuffs the takedown attempt from Kukushkin. Kukushkin gets slowly back to his feet. Aerts lands with a thumping leg kick.
Aerts lets loose with a powerful body kick. Kukushkin will feel that in the morning. Kukushkin looks gassed! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Aerts is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Aerts throws a body kick that misses. Kukushkin misses with a takedown attempt - Aerts sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Aerts pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Aerts is looking to clinch but Kukushkin is avoiding it.
Kukushkin shoots in for a double leg but Aerts sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Peter Aerts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Kukushkin. A big left from Aerts misses. Kukushkin fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Kukushkin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Aerts swivels and escapes. Aerts moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aerts thows a body kick. Kukushkin tries to catch it but that hurt him. Kukushkin takes one on the chin but seems OK.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Aerts. Kukushkin shrugs it off though. Aerts throws a nice outside leg kick. A nice leg kick lands there from Aerts. A decent looking body kick lands there for Aerts. Aerts throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Aerts scores with a nice strike.
It looks like Alex Kukushkin has been cut. Aerts pushes Kukushkin away with a front kick. Aerts fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Kukushkin is trying desperately to land a takedown but Aerts is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Kukushkin. Kukushkin sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Aerts connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Aerts looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Kukushkin is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Aerts's half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aerts wants to get back to his feet.
Aerts is refusing to be controlled, as Kukushkin sits in half guard. Kukushkin throwing shots but Aerts is blocking nicely. Kukushkin lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aerts blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kukushkin. Kukushkin sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Aerts defending well though. Kukushkin seems to be looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kukushkin is taking a breather. Aerts says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Kukushkin trying to control the action but Aerts is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kukushkin with the ground and pound but Aerts uses the opportunity to regain guard. Kukushkin throws a strike but Aerts rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Aerts wants to stand but Kukushkin is controlling his posture from full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Peter Aerts dominated that round. The cut man is working on Alex Kukushkin's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Kukushkin throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Aerts was covering up waiting for the punch and Kukushkin finishes the takedown easily into guard. Kukushkin throwing strikes from guard but Aerts blocks nicely. Kukushkin throwing strikes but missing. Aerts looking for a sweep. Not yet Aerts, not yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kukushkin wants to control from the top but Aerts keeps moving. Kukushkin thows a big elbow that misses. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kukushkin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kukushkin is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kukushkin trying to control the position from guard on top but Aerts is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kukushkin is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Kukushkin preventing the sweep. Kukushkin looking to sit in guard and control but Aerts gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kukushkin kicks Aerts off and gets to his feet. Peter Aerts is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A head kick from Aerts lands but Kukushkin takes it in his stride. Kukushkin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Aerts sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kukushkin somewhat. Peter Aerts is winning the standup battle so far. Kukushkin ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Aerts misses with a series of wild punches.
Kukushkin closes the distance and clinches up with Aerts, looking for a takedown. Kukushkin pushes Aerts against the cage but Aerts circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Aerts uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kukushkin. Aerts tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kukushkin paws at him with a jab and circles away. Kukushkin shoots for a takedown but Aerts saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Peter Aerts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Kukushkin.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aerts wants to clinch. Aerts scoring well with a low kick there.
Kukushkin closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Kukushkin dives in and grabs Aerts's left leg, looking for a takedown. Aerts takes the fight into the clinch. Aerts lands an elbow that stopped Kukushkin in his tracks for a moment. Kukushkin can't break the clinch.

Aerts utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Aerts breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Peter Aerts dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Alex Kukushkin's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Kukushkin takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. A jab lands there for Aerts. Aerts looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Aerts stuffs the takedown attempt from Kukushkin. Kukushkin gets slowly back to his feet. Aerts misses with a double jab.
Aerts with a body punch. A glancing blow. Nice body kick from Aerts. Aerts pushes Kukushkin up against the cage in a clinch. Aerts's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kukushkin fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Aerts tries to clinch up. Kukushkin has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Aerts. Kukushkin walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kukushkin avoids a punch combination nicely.
Aerts stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Aerts wants it to stay on the feet. Peter Aerts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Kukushkin. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Aerts, right into the meat.
Nice sprawl there from Aerts as Kukushkin shoots in. Aerts throws a wild body kick that Kukushkin sees coming a mile off. Kukushkin moves out of range of the body kick. Peter Aerts is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kukushkin throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Aerts sees it coming and avoids it easily. Kukushkin throws a right and a left that Aerts avoids nicely. Kukushkin swats away the attempt to clinch by Aerts. Peter Aerts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Aerts thumps Kukushkin with a low kick. Kukushkin walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aerts will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kukushkin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Aerts napping and manages to drive through into side control! Kukushkin taking a break here but Aerts is having none of it and regains half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kukushkin in particular looking to stall. Kukushkin throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kukushkin performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Kukushkin is trying to control the action in half guard but Aerts is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Aerts is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kukushkin scores with a couple of nice shots. Kukushkin trying to advance position but Aerts counters by regaining guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kukushkin trying to control but Aerts is working from the bottom. Kukushkin thows a big elbow that misses. Kukushkin with a flurry of punches that miss. Peter Aerts is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kukushkin throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Aerts works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Alex Kukushkin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kukushkin scoring with punches to the head and body.
And that's the end of the fight! Peter Aerts showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Aerts, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
