Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edgar Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alfredo Dimafelix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Diaz scores with a takedown into Dimafelix's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Dimafelix is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Dimafelix might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Diaz kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Dimafelix manages to work his way to half guard, despite Diaz's best efforts.

Diaz is just content to waste time from the top position. Dimafelix takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Dimafelix parries the strikes from Diaz easily there. Diaz is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Dimafelix to escape.
You can see the frustration on Dimafelix's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The referee asks Diaz politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Diaz prefers to stall for the moment though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dimafelix pushes Diaz away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Diaz gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
