Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ever Last! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcin Piotrowski! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Last tries to score a power double leg takedown but Piotrowski sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Last somewhat. Piotrowski drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Piotrowski works a leg free and moves into half guard. Last wants to improve his position but Piotrowski is controlling well.
Piotrowski is figuring out what he wants to do next. Last is looking to escape. Still in half guard, Piotrowski seems content to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Last tries to roll over but Piotrowski keeps him under control. Last wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Piotrowski is looking for a kimura here.
Last is pressing down on Piotrowski's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Piotrowski trying to control the position from guard on top but Last is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Piotrowski might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Last kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Last escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Piotrowski gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Piotrowski trying to control the position from guard on top but Last is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Last looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Last throws a body kick that misses. Piotrowski looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Last is fending him off so far but Piotrowski persists. Nope, Last circles away and we're back to standing. Last gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Piotrowski counters with a takedown into side control. Last is breathing heavily. Last is trying to improve his position. Last is not content to let Piotrowski control the position. Last is trying to control Piotrowski's posture but Piotrowski avoids it. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Last tries to improve position but can't. Piotrowski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Piotrowski is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Last has escaped the position, nice work there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Piotrowski thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Last can't do much from the bottom here. Last wants to get back to his feet but Piotrowski drags him back down.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Last connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Last fails with the takedown and Piotrowski counters with a nice double leg into guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ever Last. That's going to take a lot out of him. Last tries to land a sweep but no joy. Piotrowski wants to control from the top but Last keeps moving. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Last wants to sweep here but Piotrowski controlling him for the moment.

Piotrowski drops back, looking for a kneebar! Last looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Last looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Last! Piotrowski is not content to let Last control the position. Last working away. Last throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Last is chipping away with strikes.
Last misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Last lands an elbow. Piotrowski parries the strikes from Last easily there. Last is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Piotrowski to escape.
Last lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Piotrowski is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Last's half guard.

Last wants to get back to his feet.
Piotrowski seems to be working for a kimura but Last defends the submission attempt. Last tries to kick Piotrowski off but Piotrowski keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Piotrowski performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Last is defending against the submission attempts here by Piotrowski.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Piotrowski is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Last has managed to free his arm - good work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Last with a poor takedown so Piotrowski counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Last looking for a guillotine here but Piotrowski defends easily.

Marcin Piotrowski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

He has the arm isolated but Last is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Piotrowski goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Last has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Piotrowski but great work by Last. Last working away. Last is chipping away with strikes.

Last misses with a takedown attempt and Piotrowski decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Last's guard. Piotrowski drops back looking for a leg! Last is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Last manages to kick Piotrowski off! Piotrowski jumps back into Last's guard. Last keeping moving, preventing Piotrowski from controlling successfully. Piotrowski won't allow Last to sweep him here.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Piotrowski can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Piotrowski drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Piotrowski jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Piotrowski is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Last swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Piotrowski counters with a nice double leg into side control. Last won't be happy with that. This has been an exciting period of action! Last is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Piotrowski asserts his dominance and retains side control. Piotrowski looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Last struggling a bit here. Last is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Piotrowski is controlling him well. Piotrowski tries for a kimura but Last is defending well. Last is not content to let Piotrowski control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Last is trying to improve his position. Piotrowski happy to just control the position for now. Piotrowski trying to control the action but Last is working from the bottom. Ever Last has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Marcin Piotrowski is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Last is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
