Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Roberts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomasz Adamek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Roberts might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Hell Yeah. Tomasz Adamek has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Mike Roberts's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Roberts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tomasz Adamek! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adamek closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Adamek tries to score with some ground and pound. Roberts controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Adamek throws a strike aimed at the side of Roberts's head but Roberts avoids it well. Adamek postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Roberts is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Roberts is working hard here to advance position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Roberts wants to control but Adamek postures up. Adamek has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Roberts managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Adamek.
Adamek misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Adamek looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Adamek fails with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roberts shoots in and bounces Adamek off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Roberts has gone for a leg lock! Adamek slips out almost immediately though and dives into Roberts's guard. Adamek is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Roberts is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Roberts has escaped and now he's on top! Adamek had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Roberts defends it easily. Adamek has a closed guard, preventing Roberts from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roberts drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Roberts jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Adamek keeping moving, preventing Roberts from controlling successfully. Roberts tries to free his leg and advance position but Adamek is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Roberts drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Roberts jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Roberts passes easily into side control. Nice work. Adamek avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Roberts. Adamek can't do much from the bottom here.

That was a close round but I would say that Mike Roberts will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Roberts is working away from the top position though. Roberts is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Adamek is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Adamek is looking for a kimura but Roberts is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Adamek to get the leverage. Roberts is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Adamek is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Roberts sees it coming and defends easily. Roberts is pressing down on Adamek's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Adamek missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Roberts working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Adamek doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Roberts is tightening it up a little... Adamek has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Adamek reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Adamek taps out! nice BJJ there by Roberts!
