Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ismael Turkilmaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Turkilmaz has chosen Young Jeezy - Still On It as his entrance music. Ismael Turkilmaz looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Adams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ismael Turkilmaz! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Turkilmaz takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Adams shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Turkilmaz pinned against the cage. Turkilmaz gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Turkilmaz clinches with his opponent.

Adams has Turkilmaz pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Turkilmaz manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Adams. That's going to take a lot out of him. Adams drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Turkilmaz gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Adams postures up in Turkilmaz's guard and throws a big left but Turkilmaz blocks it. Adams has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Adams with a flurry of punches that miss. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Turkilmaz looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Adams puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Turkilmaz is trying to stand up here but Adams is controlling him well. Turkilmaz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Adams. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Turkilmaz looks gassed!
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Turkilmaz tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Adams is able to avoid easily. Adams instigates a clinch. Turkilmaz prevents the takedown attempt.
Adams tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Turkilmaz just stands there and leans against the cage. Adams with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Adams closes the distance looking to clinch and Turkilmaz moves into the clinch.

Adams has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Turkilmaz avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Turkilmaz tries to land knees in the clinch but Adams avoids the damage to the body. Adams drops down looking for an ankle pick but Turkilmaz pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Turkilmaz lands a good knee to the midsection. Adams won't want to take too many of those. Turkilmaz is working Adams over against the cage. Adams avoiding damage as Turkilmaz throws knees to the body.
Turkilmaz lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Adams backwards. Adams blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Turkilmaz is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Adams is defending well for now. Turkilmaz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Adams tries to clinch up and Turkilmaz counters by clinching up. Adams tries for a takedown. No joy.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Adams is trying to drag Turkilmaz to the mat but Turkilmaz just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Adams has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Turkilmaz is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Adams drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Turkilmaz gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Turkilmaz manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Turkilmaz is looking for a triangle but Adams pushes his legs off easily.
Adams stops Turkilmaz from standing up. Adams slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Turkilmaz can do anything to dispel that myth. Turkilmaz tries to buck Adams off but Adams is having none of it. Adams wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Turkilmaz, who protects the arm well. Adams tries for a kimura but Turkilmaz is defending well. Turkilmaz shoots in for a takedown but Adams shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Adams wants to clinch but Turkilmaz slips to the side and Turkilmaz counters by moving into the clinch. Turkilmaz can't get the takedown.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Adams accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Adams stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Turkilmaz swivels though and keeps the full guard. Turkilmaz is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Adams is aware though and is defending well. Turkilmaz throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Adams darts in trying to clinch and Turkilmaz counters with a shoot takedown. Adams fights it but they end up in guard. Turkilmaz with a flurry of punches that miss. Adams escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Turkilmaz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Adams looking to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Turkilmaz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Turkilmaz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Turkilmaz thows a big elbow that misses. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Adams holds on and takes a little breather. Adams preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Adams working for a triangle but Turkilmaz defends it easily.
Adams will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Ismael Turkilmaz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
The fight stays on the outside here - Adams looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Turkilmaz throws a series of punches but Adams avoids them all with ease. Adams looks to clinch and Turkilmaz counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Turkilmaz. Turkilmaz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Adams looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Turkilmaz is fending him off so far but Adams persists. Nope, Turkilmaz circles away and we're back to standing. No luck so far. John Adams has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Turkilmaz prevents Adams from getting back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Ismael Turkilmaz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Turkilmaz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
