Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akira Suzuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Akira Suzuki is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dexter Morgan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Akira Suzuki! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morgan darts in and clinches Suzuki up against the cage. Morgan lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Suzuki is trying to stand up here but Morgan is controlling him well. Morgan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Suzuki does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Suzuki scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Morgan manages to mount him!
Morgan lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Suzuki is rocked!
It looks like Akira Suzuki has been cut. Suzuki is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Suzuki is still in real trouble! Can Morgan finish him? Morgan controlling from the full mount. Suzuki seems to have recovered his senses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morgan looking to control but Suzuki is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Suzuki is bucking up trying to escape but Morgan cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Morgan is breathing heavily. Suzuki wants to try and get back to his feet. Morgan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Morgan controlling from the full mount. Morgan is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Suzuki can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Suzuki's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Suzuki is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Morgan unloads with some shots from mount but Suzuki bucks and avoids them well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Morgan won't let Suzuki get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Morgan is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Suzuki can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Morgan sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Morgan gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Suzuki throws a right and a left that both miss.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Suzuki fails with the takedown. Morgan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Morgan won't allow Suzuki to get back to his feet. Morgan showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Suzuki wants to stand and escape but Morgan is having none of it. Suzuki pushes Morgan off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Morgan takes a kick to the side of the head. Morgan takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Suzuki shoots in but doesn't get the takedown so Morgan counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Suzuki wants to stand but Morgan is controlling the position. Morgan trying to control but Suzuki is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Suzuki wants to stand and escape but Morgan is having none of it. Morgan controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Suzuki wants to stand but Morgan is controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Suzuki wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Morgan manages to pass to side control. Suzuki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Morgan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Suzuki is trying to stand up here but Morgan is controlling him well.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Morgan swinging wilding here.
Suzuki throws a head kick that misses. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A big right from Morgan misses. Suzuki misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Morgan takes the fight into the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dexter Morgan dominated that round. The cut man is working on Akira Suzuki's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Morgan instigates a clinch. Suzuki tries to break the clinch but Morgan is controlling the position. Suzuki has had enough of the clinch but Morgan keeps him there for the moment. Suzuki can't break the clinch.
Suzuki letting Morgan take a breather here. Suzuki wants to get back to striking at distance but Morgan won't allow it.

Morgan is trying to control the position but Suzuki postures up. Suzuki wanted to stand there but Morgan had control of the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Morgan throwing rabbit punches from the bottom - showing the judges that he's keeping busy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Suzuki would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Morgan is on top in guard.
Suzuki is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Morgan is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morgan stands up from Suzuki's guard - Morgan perhaps looking for a knockout. A head kick misses from Suzuki. Suzuki throws a head kick that misses. Suzuki throws a head kick that misses. Morgan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Suzuki's guard. Morgan is in close to Suzuki's body, working some short punches and elbows. Morgan wants to control from the top but Suzuki keeps moving. Suzuki is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Morgan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Morgan decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Suzuki, up you get! Excellent takedown into side control there by Morgan. A lull in the action here as Morgan stalls from top position. Suzuki wants to get back to his feet but Morgan drags him back down. Dexter Morgan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. A lull in the action here. Suzuki sneaks out the side door and pushes Morgan away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Morgan throws a head kick but Suzuki moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A head kick by Suzuki misses and Morgan counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Morgan stops Suzuki from getting back to his feet.
Morgan is trying to work for a kimura but Suzuki is defending well.
Morgan wants to take a breather but Suzuki is having none of it. Morgan passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Suzuki! Morgan looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Morgan dives in and gets a big takedown. He lands in full mount and immediately unloads a series of heavy strikes! Suzuki has had enough and taps out.
