Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between joe d (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chan Tapanakara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
d throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tapanakara's waist but Tapanakara gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing d off to one side.
Tapanakara stuffs the takedown attempt from d. d gets slowly back to his feet.
d tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tapanakara sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten d somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for joe d. That's going to take a lot out of him.
