Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Don Dada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johny Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burns has chosen "Firestarter" by The Prodigy as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Johny Burns has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Don Dada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johny Burns!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dada shoots in but Burns avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Dada shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Burns defends it nicely.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Burns lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Dada has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Dada and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Burns shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dada napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Dada is looking to reverse the position.

Burns thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Dada is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Burns off and has taken his back!

Burns is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
I really don't envy Burns right now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dada misses with punches from the back.
Burns finds himself mounted whilst avoiding strikes.
Burns is trying desperately to improve position.
Burns is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Burns tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Burns manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Dada is looking to advance position but Burns won't allow it.
Burns is refusing to be controlled, as Dada sits in half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dada thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Burns's head.
Dada with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Dada is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Burns is just riding it out for now. Dada eventually gives up the hold.
Dada not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Burns gets back to full guard.
Burns working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Dada.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dada postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Burns pulls Dada in close to his closed guard and prevents Dada from doing any damage or advancing position.
Dada has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Dada avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Dada postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Burns is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Dada, into his guard.
Burns advances position into side control!
Dada tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Burns wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Burns thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Dada wants to control but Burns postures up.
Dada is trying to improve his position.
Dada really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Dada bucks up and tries to throw Burns off but instead Burns has got his back!
Burns looking to hold on to the position here but Dada rolls and ends up regaining guard.
Burns scoring with some ground and pound.
Dada keeping full guard, as Burns tries to pass.

Dada throws his legs up looking for a submission but Burns uses it to pass to side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dada wants to control but Burns postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johny Burns dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Dada wants to clinch.
Dada doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Burns counters with a thumping low kick.
Burns moves out of range as Dada strikes.
Burns throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Burns misses with a body kick.
Burns throws a nice inside leg kick.
Dada shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Burns counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Dada fails with the takedown
and Burns counters with a good low kick that Dada was not able to check.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Don Dada. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Burns fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Dada is out of range.

Burns scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Burns wants to free his trapped foot but Dada is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Burns lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Burns takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Burns seems to be working for a kimura but Dada defends the submission attempt.
Burns passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Dada!
Dada takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Burns landing shots from mount.
Burns breaks from Dada's wrist control and lands an elbow.


Dada is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Burns postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Dada bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Burns and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Johny Burns!
