Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Bremner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georges Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mike Bremner has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mike Bremner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Georges Pierre!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bremner swats away the attempt to clinch by Pierre.
Pierre is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Pierre checks a leg kick.
Bremner throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bremner tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Pierre counters with a two punch combo.

Pierre moves into the clinch.
Bremner has Pierre pushed against the cage.

Pierre escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A big right from Bremner misses.
Bremner stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bremner wants it to stay on the feet.
Bremner slaps away a takedown attempt from Pierre, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Pierre throws a head kick that Bremner semi-blocks.

Pierre closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bremner did well to prevent Pierre getting side control.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Pierre tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bremner paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Pierre looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bremner with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mike Bremner.
Well Pierre has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
