PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tom Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Raines (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raines has chosen "Step Up" Drowning Pool as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Tom Jones could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tim Raines's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Raines wants to get back to striking at distance but Jones won't allow it.

Jones tries to score a body lock takedown but Raines shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Raines can do anything to dispel that myth.

Jones seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Jones seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Raines for as long as he can get away with.

Raines wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Jones has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Raines avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jones, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
