Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tetsuzan Yamashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Franek Kimono!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick from Kimono misses.
Yamashi fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Kimono is looking to clinch but Yamashi is avoiding it.
Yamashi dives in and grabs Kimono's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kimono pushes down on Yamashi's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tetsuzan Yamashi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yamashi shoots for a takedown but Kimono saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Yamashi is breathing heavily.
Kimono fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kimono wants to clinch.

Kimono tries to clinch but Yamashi is having none of it.
Kimono misses with a low kick.
Kimono checks a leg kick nicely.
Kimono fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Yamashi.
Kimono lands a lovely overhand right.


It looks like Tetsuzan Yamashi has been cut.
Yamashi shoots in looking for a takedown. Kimono tries to sprawl out of it but Yamashi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kimono manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kimono tries to clinch up.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Kimono - that will leave a mark!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A head kick by Kimono - that's a beauty! Yamashi is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Kimono can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
