Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Orton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Velasquez comes to the ring accompanied by King Of The World. Cain Velasquez could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Randy Orton's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cain Velasquez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Randy Orton! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Jorge Garcia and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Velasquez shoots for a double leg takedown but Orton sprawls well. He's pushed Velasquez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Orton moves into the clinch. Velasquez is trying to trip Orton. He has hold of a leg but Orton is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Velasquez persists though and gets the takedown into guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Orton can do anything to dispel that myth. Orton utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Velasquez trying to control but Orton is working from the bottom. Orton is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Velasquez stopping the sweep attempt from Orton. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Orton uses the ropes to get back to his feet.
Velasquez clinches but Orton breaks the clinch and Orton counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Velasquez blocking the ground and pound attempt from Orton.
That's one minute gone in the round. Orton controlling the pace. Orton wants to stand but Velasquez has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Velasquez keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Orton wants to stand up but Velasquez has a hold of him and won't allow it. Velasquez wants to control but Orton is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Velasquez keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Velasquez is trying to maintain the position but Orton is very close to passing his half guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Orton misses with a jab, cross combination.
Velasquez with a poor takedown and Orton counters by clinching up. Velasquez lands a hook to the side of the head. Orton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Orton closes the distance and clinches. A right hook to the body lands for Orton.
Velasquez is breathing heavily. A right handed body shot lands from Orton.
Orton lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Velasquez backwards. Orton presses Velasquez against the ropes and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Orton has picked Velasquez up - he's going for a ride! Orton dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Orton winds up and cracks Velasquez with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Orton seems to be looking for submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Orton sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Velasquez defending well though. Orton wants to stand up but Velasquez has a hold of him and won't allow it. Orton wants to free his trapped foot but Velasquez is holding on for dear life with his legs. Orton tries to stand and escape but Velasquez is controlling the position. Orton has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Orton moves into range and clinches up with Velasquez. Orton lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Velasquez. Orton stalling the fight.
Velasquez takes a knee to the side of the body. Orton lands a shoulder strike. Orton pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Orton misses with a jab, cross combination.
Orton moves into range and clinches up with Velasquez. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Orton obliges. Orton comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Orton gets control of Velasquez's arms and successfully pulls guard. Orton will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Orton bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Velasquez's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Randy Orton dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Orton gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Good body shot from Orton.
Orton goes for a takedown attempt but Velasquez pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Orton shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Velasquez as he jumps to the side. Velasquez misses with a takedown attempt and Orton counters by clinching up. Orton is leaning against Velasquez and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Nice body punch from Orton. Orton manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Velasquez could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Orton looking to control.
Orton has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Velasquez off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. The fight moves into the clinch position. Orton breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Orton closes the distance and pushes Velasquez back into the ropes. Orton manages to break the clinch.
Orton feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Orton connects with a couple of short punches. Velasquez looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Orton controls from within his opponent's guard. Orton wants to stand but Velasquez has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Orton stands up from guard. Let's bang! Orton shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Orton takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Velasquez is trying desperately to improve position. Orton tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Let's hope that Orton has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Orton's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Randy Orton showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Velasquez wants to control from the top but Orton keeps moving. Orton manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Cain Velasquez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Orton rushes Velasquez and presses him up against the ropes. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Orton takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Orton breaks from the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight! Randy Orton comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Orton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
