Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mathew Chamberlain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, sol sunday! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from sunday. No joy for Chamberlain on that attempt. sunday decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. sunday is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Chamberlain defends it well. sunday throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Chamberlain is staying active underneath sunday, who seems content to just control the action from this position. sunday has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. sunday is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chamberlain wants to improve his position but sunday is controlling well.
