Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ash Dafter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karol Sz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ash Dafter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Karol Sz!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sz shoots for a double leg takedown but Dafter sprawls well. He's pushed Sz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dafter looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Dafter stuffs the takedown attempt from Sz. Sz gets slowly back to his feet.
Dafter tries to clinch up but Sz circles away and keeps his distance.
Dafter pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Sz shoots in and drives through. Dafter sprawls well.
Ash Dafter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Karol Sz.

Sz shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Sz trying to control the position from guard on top but Dafter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Dafter looking for a sweep. Not yet Dafter, not yet.
Dafter has momentary wrist control but Sz slips an elbow through the middle.
Sz wants to stand but Dafter has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sz postures up in Dafter's guard and throws a big left but Dafter blocks it.

Dafter is working an open guard so Sz takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sz shoots in and drives through. Dafter sprawls well.
Sz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dafter tries to avoid it but Sz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dafter to the ground. Dafter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A shot to de liver by Sz. Beautiful body shot.
Sz closes the distance and clinches up with Dafter, looking for a takedown. Sz pushes Dafter against the cage but Dafter circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Horrible takedown by Sz or perhaps it was just good defense by Dafter which made him look bad.

Dafter fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sz sprawls well initially but Dafter persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Sz trying to control but Dafter postures up.

Dafter is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Sz wants to get back to full guard.

Dafter is taking a breather. Sz says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Sz is trying to stand back up but Dafter is controlling him
Sz is not content to let Dafter control the position.
Dafter tries to pass the half guard into mount. Sz knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Sz shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Dafter counters with a single leg into guard. Sz didn't expect that.

Dafter thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Sz looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dafter is one step ahead there.
Sz is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Dafter controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Dafter trying to stand up but can't free himself from Sz's guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Dafter wants to control from the top but Sz keeps moving.
Sz avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sz has his takedown stuffed

so Dafter counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Dafter pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sz is keeping the position for now.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Dafter drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Dafter looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sz's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Sz duly obliges.

Dafter shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sz is trying to defend but Dafter finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Dafter takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Dafter wants to control but Sz is keeping him busy.
Sz trying to control from the bottom.
Dafter tries to pass to full mount but Sz defends it.
Dafter sitting and controlling from the half guard.

Sz won't allow Dafter to pass to mount.
Ash Dafter overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Dafter counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sz's guard now.
Sz not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dafter drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Sz dives on top into guard.
Dafter is looking to stand up but Sz isn't so interested in that idea.
Sz won't allow Dafter to sweep him here.
Dafter is pulling down on Sz's head. It's preventing any offense from Sz, at least for the moment.
Sz postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Sz throwing strikes but missing.
Dafter is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Dafter is working for a submission of some sort.
Dafter takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ash Dafter dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Dafter instigates a clinch.
Sz has Dafter pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Dafter manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Sz jumps guard but Dafter stands there with Sz around his waist. Sz gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Sz can't break the clinch.
Sz changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Dafter fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Ash Dafter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Karol Sz.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Dafter would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Sz manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dafter is on top in guard.

Ash Dafter is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Dafter wants to pass the guard but Sz is keeping the position.

Ash Dafter showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Dafter has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
