Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Cobra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nic Bravo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rocky Cobra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nic Bravo!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Donatello Bradman and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cobra tries to clinch there but Bravo circles away.

The fight stays on the outside here - Cobra looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Bravo clinches up against the cage.

It looks like Nic Bravo has been cut.
Cobra wants to get back to striking at distance but Bravo won't allow it.

Bravo looks up at the clock and then as Cobra takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bravo smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

and Bravo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cobra's guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Cobra throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Bravo is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Cobra gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Bravo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cobra works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cobra manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bravo manages to get himself to full guard.

Bravo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Cobra has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Bravo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cobra doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cobra manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bravo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cobra doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Bravo is tightening it up a little... Cobra has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Cobra reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Cobra taps out! nice BJJ there by Bravo!
