Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Braylon Beswicke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Scott's choice of entrance music: Massive Attack - One thought at a time. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

8 - 6 - 2, fighting out of New York, James Scott! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Bruno Lombardi and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beswicke dips to his left and cracks Scott with an uppercut! Scott fails to land the takedown. Beswicke misses with a straight right. Beswicke looks to land a combination but Scott avoids it well. Beswicke misses with a body shot.
Scott takes a jab right on the kisser.
A bone on bone clash there as Scott blocks the leg kick.

Braylon Beswicke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Scott fails with a takedown attempt. Scott slips a jab from Beswicke.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beswicke misses with an uppercut. Beswicke throws a half hearted mid kick. Beswicke throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Scott. Beswicke cracks Scott with a right hand to the side of the head. Scott shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Beswicke's guard. Beswicke on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Beswicke tries to get out of the position. Beswicke has control of Scott's left arm, preventing Scott from doing any damage. Scott tries to free his leg and advance position but Beswicke is retaining full guard. Beswicke wants to stand up but Scott is controlling him. Beswicke tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Beswicke trying to control the position from guard on top but Scott is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Beswicke thows a big elbow that misses. Scott has a closed guard, preventing Beswicke from standing up.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Beswicke throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Beswicke misses with the combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beswicke missing with a left hand there. Scott was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Beswicke misses with a low kick.
Beswicke misses with an uppercut. Beswicke displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Scott. Braylon Beswicke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Beswicke fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Scott looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Scott slips a jab from Beswicke. Beswicke throws a body punch but Scott moves out of range. Scott avoids the body shot from Beswicke.
A big right from Beswicke misses. Nice takedown defense from Beswicke. No joy for Scott on that attempt. James Scott is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Scott walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Beswicke loads up on a big right hand but Scott slips the punch. Scott gets the takedown into side control. Beswicke is looking for a sweep. You can see the frustration on Beswicke's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Beswicke is trying to get back to half guard.

Scott swings around for an armbar but Beswicke sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Scott's guard. Scott is breathing heavily. Beswicke trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Beswicke tries to stand but Scott is controlling from the bottom.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Beswicke fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Scott looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Beswicke pushes down on Scott's head and hops out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Scott looks for a takedown but Beswicke sprawls well. Beswicke throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Scott sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Beswicke lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Scott shoots for a double leg takedown but Beswicke sprawls well. He's pushed Scott's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. James Scott has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Beswicke wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Beswicke connects with a single shot there. Beswicke misses with a straight left. A jab from Beswicke finds it's way through Scott's defenses. Braylon Beswicke is winning the standup battle so far. Beswicke listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Beswicke jabbing away but nothing is landing. Beswicke swings for the body but Scott moves out of range.

And that's the end of the fight! Braylon Beswicke showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Beswicke, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
