Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bennyilmari Haitarila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Natural Born Killer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bennyilmari Haitarila!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Natural Born Killer!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haitarila throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Killer sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Haitarila throws a nice looking combination but Killer bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Killer gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Killer drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Killer is pushing down on Haitarila's leg trying to pass to half guard. Haitarila is fighting to maintain full guard but Killer has managed to sneak the leg through.
Haitarila controlling the position for now.
Killer looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Haitarila with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Killer is looking to advance position but Haitarila won't allow it.
Haitarila is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Killer's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Killer's back!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Killer can't escape the position.
Killer is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Haitarila has good solid back control here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Killer trying to control the hands but Haitarila won't let him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Killer tries to break free.
Killer looks gassed!
Haitarila is riding his opponent, not letting Killer buck him off.
Killer wants to escape the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Haitarila controls the action.
Killer trying to control but not successfully.
Haitarila really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Killer.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Killer tries to escape but Haitarila has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Haitarila is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Killer is trying to break free.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Haitarila controlling the position well here. Killer rolled but Haitarila kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Bennyilmari Haitarila will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Haitarila lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Haitarila lands with a slapping head kick.
Killer dives in and grabs Haitarila's left leg, looking for a takedown. Haitarila pushes down on Killer's head and hops out.

Haitarila lands a big uppercut and Killer crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Killer looks OK. Haitarila waves Killer back to his feet!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Killer fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Haitarila feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Killer sprawling to the canvas! Killer rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Haitarila finish him?!


Killer is rocked!
Haitarila lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Killer - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Haitarila!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bennyilmari Haitarila!
