Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Braulio Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keemo Jakkar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maia comes into the arena with Johnny Cash - God's Gonna Cut You Down blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maia closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jakkar did well to prevent Maia getting side control. Maia sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Jakkar defending well though. Maia looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Maia is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Jakkar sees it coming and defends easily. Jakkar won't allow Maia to pass to mount. Jakkar is looking for a sweep. Maia is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Jakkar actively working from the bottom here. Maia trying to control from half guard but Jakkar is working away. Maia prevents Jakkar from improving his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Jakkar shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jakkar scores with a nice body kick.
Jakkar lands a big head kick that sends Maia tumbling to the mat! Jakkar takes a step backwards and waves Maia back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Braulio Maia has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jakkar tries a head kick but it misses.
Maia tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jakkar swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jakkar darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Maia wants to get back to full guard but Jakkar has mounted him! Jakkar trying to control but Maia is having none of it. Maia is looking to get to half guard. Jakkar looking to control but Maia is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Jakkar has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Maia's face.

Maia tries to lock up and control but Jakkar gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Maia is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jakkar avoids the attempt from Maia to control. Maia slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Keemo Jakkar dominated that round. The cut man is working on Braulio Maia's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Maia shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jakkar sprawls well. Jakkar wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Maia gets slowly back to his feet. Maia has his takedown stuffed and Jakkar holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Jakkar landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Jakkar has Maia pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Jakkar pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Maia tumbling to the mat - Jakkar dives into Maia's guard. Jakkar looking to pass the guard. Jakkar stands up from guard. Let's bang! Maia fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Braulio Maia. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jakkar doesn't manage to clinch there - Maia circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jakkar is looking to clinch. Keemo Jakkar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Maia throws a right and a left that both miss. Maia chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jakkar can pounce on him.
Jakkar tries to close the distance and clinch but Maia swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Jakkar instigates a clinch. Jakkar connects with a knee to the head.

Jakkar manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Jakkar wants to stand but Maia is controlling the position. Jakkar looking to control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Maia wants to pass the guard but Jakkar is keeping the position. Maia's corner is telling him to maintain position. Maia stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jakkar swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Maia with a poor takedown and Jakkar counters by clinching up. Maia fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Maia is fighting off a takedown attempt but Jakkar is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Maia to the mat. Maia regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Jakkar passes into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maia trying to control but Jakkar postures up.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Maia is on top in guard.

Maia slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Maia moves into full mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Keemo Jakkar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Braulio Maia's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Maia shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Maia is looking for a kimura but Jakkar is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Maia to get the leverage. Maia not landing any meaningful shots this time. Maia prevents Jakkar from standing back up.
Maia throws a strike but Jakkar avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Maia trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Maia wants to control from the top but Jakkar keeps moving. Maia is stalling in the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jakkar is looking to stand up but Maia isn't so interested in that idea.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Jakkar throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Maia ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Jakkar takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Jakkar throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Maia's waist but Maia gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jakkar off to one side. Maia has a takedown stuffed. Jakkar tries to clinch but Maia is having none of it. Jakkar has Maia up against the cage in a clinch.
Jakkar manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Jakkar keeping moving, preventing Maia from controlling successfully. Keemo Jakkar has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Maia wants to pass the guard but Jakkar is keeping the position. Maia trying to control the position from guard on top but Jakkar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Maia looking to pass the guard. Jakkar keeping moving, preventing Maia from controlling successfully. Maia is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jakkar is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Maia has gone for a leg lock! Jakkar slips out almost immediately though and dives into Maia's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jakkar postures up in Maia's guard and throws a big left but Maia blocks it. Maia is controlling Jakkar's posture. Maia is looking for a triangle but Jakkar pushes his legs off easily.

Maia throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Jakkar escapes and throws Maia's legs to the side, diving into side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Maia tries to escape but Jakkar is in control. Braulio Maia has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Maia is looking for a sweep. Maia is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Maia is looking for a sweep. Jakkar stands up. Jakkar moves into the clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Keemo Jakkar. Well Jakkar has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
