PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Bunker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donald Fraser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bunker's entrance music is Three Days Grace - Pain. A fine choice. Fraser comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Sirius kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fraser uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bunker.
Bunker throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fraser's waist but Fraser gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bunker off to one side.
Bunker missing with a left hand there. Fraser was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Fraser looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Fraser ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bunker moves away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Fraser. Bunker does a little dance to reset his feet.
Fraser scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

letting Bunker counter with a right hand.
Bunker misses with a leg kick.
Bunker scores with a punch to the head.
Bunker lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bunker.
Fraser misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bunker swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Fraser moves into the clinch.
Bunker blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Fraser lands a body shot in the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fraser lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Fraser lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Fraser breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bunker dodges the punch combination from Fraser.
Bunker checks a low kick from Fraser.
Fraser misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fraser moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Fraser slaps away a takedown attempt from Bunker, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Fraser tests Bunker's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Fraser misses with a double jab

and Bunker counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fraser won't be happy with that.
Fraser tries to improve position but can't.
Bunker wants to control but Fraser is keeping him busy.
Bunker advances to full mount.

Bunker is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Fraser has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Fraser!

Bunker looking for a guillotine here but Fraser defends easily.
Fraser really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bunker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bunker is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Fraser is aware though and is defending well.

Bunker has his foot on Fraser's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fraser works his way back into a safe position though.

Fraser wants to control from the top but Bunker keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Fraser falls off balance throwing a combination
and Bunker counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Fraser takes one to the side of the head.
Bunker lands with a hook. Fraser tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
The crowd cheers as Bunker lands an impressive looking overhand right. Fraser doesn't seem phased though.
Fraser moves forwards but Bunker connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Bunker scores with a jab to the body.
Bunker slips a jab and a cross from Fraser.
Bunker throws a wild body kick that Fraser sees coming a mile off.
Bunker tries for a takedown but Fraser circles away easily
and Fraser connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Randy Bunker. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Some wild striking there from Fraser.
Bunker slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Fraser is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bunker.

Donk. Bunker catches Fraser right on the button with a cross.

Bunker misses the shot to the body.
Fraser tries to clinch there but Bunker circles away.
Bunker lands a slapping body shot.
Bunker paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Bunker fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fraser manages to avoid it.
Fraser darts in trying to clinch
and Bunker counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Fraser thinking.

Bunker bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
A head kick misses from Fraser.
Fraser works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Some wild striking there from Fraser.
Bunker displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Fraser throws out the jab.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bunker misses with a two punch combination.
Fraser tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bunker paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bunker dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
A swing and a miss from Fraser.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Donald Fraser will probably get the nod.

Bunker fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Fraser looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Bunker throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Fraser was covering up waiting for the punch and Bunker finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Bunker slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Bunker trying to control the action but Fraser is working from the bottom.
Fraser is breathing heavily.

Bunker wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Fraser, who protects the arm well.

Fraser gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Bunker here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Bunker trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Fraser tries to reverse the position but Bunker maintains control.
Bunker lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Fraser hang on?

Bunker sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Fraser taps out!
