Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Josh Ray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicolas Stonecold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stonecold has chosen Hell as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Josh Ray! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nicolas Stonecold! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Igor Prikhodko and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ray scores with a takedown into Stonecold's guard. Ray would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Ray trying to control the position from guard on top but Stonecold is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Stonecold wants to stand up but Ray is controlling him. Ray throwing strikes but missing. Ray knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stonecold on the ground. Stonecold keeping moving, preventing Ray from controlling successfully. Stonecold throws a nice elbow from the bottom. Stonecold is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ray defends well. Stonecold trying to control the position here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ray postures up.
Stonecold looks gassed! Ray drops back, looking for a kneebar! Stonecold looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Stonecold looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Stonecold! Ray tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Stonecold wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Ray stops Stonecold from passing to mount. Stonecold has knee on belly momentarily but Ray bucks him off and regains half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Stonecold is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Ray looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Ray is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ray tries to get to full guard but Stonecold has control of the leg. Stonecold wants to stand up but Ray is controlling the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ray is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Stonecold's half guard. Ray really is a fat lump. Ray tries to stand and escape but Stonecold is controlling the position. Stonecold is trying to stand up here but Ray is controlling him well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ray has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Stonecold tries to get back to half guard but can't. Stonecold is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Stonecold tries to hold on but Ray postures up. Stonecold tries to get back to half guard but can't. Ray looking to control and managing it successfully. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ray avoids the attempt from Stonecold to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josh Ray dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ray fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ray will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Ray throws a series of punches but Stonecold avoids them all with ease. Stonecold shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Stonecold was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Stonecold looking to secure an arm triangle but Ray defends it well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ray tries to hold on but Stonecold postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stonecold goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Ray turns into him and now he's in Stonecold's guard.
Stonecold striking off his back but it's not causing Ray any problems. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ray trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Stonecold is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ray defends well. Ray tries to stand but Stonecold is controlling from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Stonecold is trying to control the position but Ray postures up. Ray stopping the sweep attempt from Stonecold. Stonecold striking off his back, scoring a few points. Ray has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Stonecold to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Ray is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Stonecold pulls down on the head and he's put Ray to sleep! This one is all over!
