Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jimbo Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Romero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson comes into the arena with Amos Moses - Jerry Reed blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimbo Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyler Romero! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Johnson with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Johnson fails to land the takedown. Romero doesn't succeed with the takedown and Johnson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Romero! Romero wants to try and get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johnson has hold of Romero's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Romero manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Johnson working away from the top, dropping strikes. Johnson looking to control but Romero is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Johnson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Romero is surviving well by controlling Johnson's body position as best he can. Johnson with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Johnson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Romero is looking to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. You get the feeling that Romero really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Johnson working for a submission but Romero is keeping him at bay. Johnson looking to secure an arm triangle but Romero defends it well. Johnson is breathing heavily. Romero wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Romero is trying to stand but he's just given Johnson his back. Romero defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Johnson's arms. Romero is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Romero really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Johnson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Romero is trying to get back to his feet but Johnson has full control of the position and if anything, Romero has just worked his way into a worse spot. Johnson missing with strikes from the back. Romero is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Johnson working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Romero is doing well to defend. Johnson seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Romero is forced to tap and this one is over!
