Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krysz Kawolski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Krysz Kawolski will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Thomas Wright! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Krysz Kawolski! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Columbo Gatti and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kawolski tries to clinch up but Wright circles away and keeps his distance. Wright shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kawolski but Kawolski pushes him off and we're back to square one. Kawolski shoots and misses and Wright counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kawolski won't be happy with that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wright misses with the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wright creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Kawolski sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Kawolski tries to buck Wright off but Wright is having none of it. Wright tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Wright is chipping away with strikes.
Kawolski takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Kawolski is trying to improve his position. Wright landing strikes. Kawolski tries to buck Wright off but Wright is having none of it. Wright lands some shots froms side control. Kawolski is trying to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kawolski manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Kawolski has a hand on Wright's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Wright takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Wright working the ground and pound effectively.
Wright is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Kawolski has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Kawolski! Wright working for a triangle but Kawolski defends it easily.
Wright wants to sweep here but Kawolski controlling him for the moment. Kawolski chips away with some ground and pound. Kawolski wants to pass the guard but Wright is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wright throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Kawolski wants to control from the top but Wright keeps moving. Kawolski lands a couple of decent looking shots. Kawolski wants to pass the guard but Wright is keeping the position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Kawolski wants to control from the top but Wright keeps moving.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kawolski fails in his attempt to clinch. Kawolski with a lazy takedown attempt so Wright counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Kawolski trying to control the position.
Wright trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Wright is looking to work some ground and pound but Kawolski has wrist control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wright distracts Kawolski with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Wright stopping the sweep attempt from Kawolski. Wright throws a big right hand that misses. Wright in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Wright trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Wright shoots in for a double leg but Kawolski sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Kawolski fails with the takedown and Wright counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kawolski won't be happy with that. Thomas Wright has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Krysz Kawolski. Kawolski looks gassed! Kawolski avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Wright. Kawolski is looking to reverse the position. Wright lands a few punches from side control. Wright working the head and body with strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wright in side control lands a decent elbow.
Kawolski is rocked! Wright creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Kawolski is still in real trouble! Can Wright finish him? Wright is putting a hurting on Kawolski here, landing some big shots from side control. Wright working the head with strikes. Wright cracks Kawolski with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Wright immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Kawolski is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Wright!
