The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stavrov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A swing and a miss from Stavrov.
Stavrov blocks a jab.
Bato checks the leg kick.
Stavrov connects with a high kick.
Stavrov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Bato managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Stavrov.
Stavrov postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Stavrov lands a decent elbow from side control.
Stavrov tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Bato is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Stavrov in side control, throwing shots but Bato defends.
Stavrov advances nicely into full mount.

BOOM! Stavrov connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Bato tries to reverse the position but Stavrov maintains control.
Stavrov is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Bato has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Bato!
Stavrov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Bato postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Stavrov is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bato, into his guard.
Stavrov lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bato is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Stavrov has his hands clasped together but Bato extends an breaks Stavrov's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Bato.
