PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quinton Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Attila Vegh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vegh has chosen duran duran - the wild boys as his entrance music. Jackson has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Vegh is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jackson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Vegh throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jackson's waist but Jackson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vegh off to one side.
Jackson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Jackson throws a series of punches but Vegh avoids them all with ease.

Vegh closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Vegh lands in his opponent's guard.

Vegh drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Vegh jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
