Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Boytsov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Guevara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alex Boytsov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Sergei Dronov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guevara swinging wildly here.
Boytsov changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Boytsov decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Boytsov is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Boytsov looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Boytsov wants to stand but Guevara has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Guevara is looking for a sweep. Boytsov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Boytsov slows the pace down in half guard.

Guevara is controlling Boytsov's trapped leg to prevent Boytsov from advancing to side control.
Boytsov uses his free foot to push down on Guevara's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Guevara.
Boytsov can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Guevara is looking to escape.
Guevara tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Guevara reaches up to try and control the position but Boytsov seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Guevara rolls and tries to escape and now Boytsov has his back!
Boytsov is throwing strikes by Guevara counters by rolling into a better position. After a scramble, Guevara regains half guard.
Guevara is refusing to be controlled, as Boytsov sits in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Boytsov is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Guevara is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Boytsov is looking to advance position but Guevara won't allow it.
Guevara really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boytsov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Some wild striking there from Guevara.
Boytsov staying out of range there.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Guevara tries to score a power double leg takedown but Boytsov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Guevara somewhat.
Guevara looks gassed!
Guevara blocks a head kick by Boytsov.
Guevara lands with a kick to the temple. Boytsov shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Boytsov lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Boytsov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Guevara as he jumps to the side.
Boytsov slips a jab and a cross from Guevara.
Boytsov shoots in but no luck this time.
Guevara throws out a loose jab but Boytsov uses good head movement to avoid it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Guevara throws a head kick that misses
and Boytsov counters with a shoot takedown. Guevara fights it but they end up in guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Guevara looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Boytsov puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Guevara is trying to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Boytsov sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Guevara is wriggling around trying to escape.
Boytsov postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Guevara looks a forlorn figure.
Boytsov throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Guevara because Boytsov loaded up on that one.
Boytsov lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Guevara avoids a series of strikes thrown by Boytsov.
Guevara tries to lock up and control but Boytsov gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Boytsov tries to control but Guevara wriggling away.
Boytsov tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Guevara is wriggling around trying to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boytsov misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Guevara wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Boytsov controlling the position easily from mount.
Guevara is working to get back to half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Boytsov tries to control but Guevara wriggling away.
Boytsov connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Boytsov cracks Guevara with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Boytsov moves into the clinch successfully.
Boytsov jumps guard and drags Guevara to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Guevara postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Boytsov is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Guevara, into his guard.
Boytsov looking to sit in guard and control but Guevara gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Boytsov throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Boytsov has his foot on Guevara's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Guevara works his way back into a safe position though.

Boytsov is trying to keep Guevara in close.

Boytsov wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Guevara wants to stand up but Boytsov manages to regain full guard.
Guevara got a little sloppy there for a moment and Boytsov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Guevara has managed to get both his arms back between Boytsov's legs - danger averted.
Boytsov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Guevara can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Boytsov feints and as Guevara raises his hands in defense, Boytsov changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Guevarais looking to pass into half guard but Boytsov pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Boytsov is in guard.
Boytsov pushes down on Guevara's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Boytsov is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Guevara doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Boytsov.
Nick Guevara has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Boytsov, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
