Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Landen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jhonsson swivels and escapes.
Jhonsson looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Jhonsson connects with a high kick.

Landen drives through with a takedown into guard.
Landen wants to pass the guard but Jhonsson is keeping the position.
Landen not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Landen postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Jhonsson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Landen.
Landen tries to free his leg and advance position but Jhonsson is retaining full guard.
Landen passes Jhonsson's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Landen with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Landen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jhonsson keeps working.
Jhonsson is looking to improve his position.
Landen seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Landen is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Landen slows the pace down in half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Landen is working for a kimura but Jhonsson is defending it quite comfortably.
Well, if Landen is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Jhonsson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Landen is working away from the top position though.
Landen wants to get back to his feet.
Jhonsson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Jhonsson trying to hold on to Landen's head to control him but Landen postures up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Landen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jhonsson, pushing him back against the cage.
Jhonsson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Landen has him pressed against the cage.
Jhonsson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Landen pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Landen has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jhonsson uses from the top position.
Jhonsson throws a big right hand that misses.
Landen has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Jhonsson has passed into side control.
Jhonsson takes advantage of some sloppy striking from Landen to pass into mount.

Jhonsson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Jhonsson looking to control but Landen is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Landen is trying to escape the mount.
Landen bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Landen sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jhonsson's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Landen dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Jhonsson shoots and misses

and Landen counters with a shoot takedown. Jhonsson fights it but they end up in guard.

Landen stands up from Jhonsson's guard - Landen perhaps looking for a knockout.

Landen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Jhonsson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jhonsson seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Landen gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Don Jhonsson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Landen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jhonsson swivels and escapes.

and Landen counters with a single leg into guard. Jhonsson didn't expect that.

Landen decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jhonsson, up you get!

Landen breaks from the clinch.

Landen closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Landen is stalling here. Jhonsson is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Landen seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Jhonsson has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Jhonsson is looking to take a break and control but Landen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Landen is looking to reverse the position.

Landen is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Landen manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Landen's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Landen decides to return to a standing position.

Landen looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Jhonsson manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Landen keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Jhonsson's head.
Landen seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
James Landen has got the better of the ground game so far.

Landen has gone for a leg lock! Jhonsson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Landen's guard.
Landen looking for a sweep. Not yet Landen, not yet.
Landen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jhonsson's guard.
Landen stays in close to Jhonsson's body and controls the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jhonsson trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Landen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Some bone on bone action there as Jhonsson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Landen has Jhonsson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Landen pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jhonsson tumbling to the mat - Landen dives into Jhonsson's guard.
Landen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Landen stands up and waves to Jhonsson to follow him.
Jhonsson throws a hook but Landen blocks it.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

and Landen counters with a single leg into guard. Jhonsson didn't expect that.

Jhonsson is looking for a triangle here but Landen uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Landen working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Landen tries for a kimura but Jhonsson is defending well.

Landen decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Landen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Jhonsson really wants to buck Landen off and get back to his feet.
Landen tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

A nice elbow there by Landen.

Landen stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Jhonsson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Landen counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Landen.

Landen lands a takedown into guard.
Jhonsson controls Landen momentarily but Landen frees himself.
Jhonsson trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Landen controlling from the top position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Landen's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Landen controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

And that's the end of the fight!
James Landen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Landen winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
