Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vassili Zaitsev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rumina Sato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zaitsev rushes Sato and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Sato tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Zaitsev just stands there and leans against the cage.
Zaitsev is pressed up against the cage. Sato has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Zaitsev down to the mat. Zaitsev avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Sato slips under a jab from Zaitsev.
Zaitsev fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Zaitsev is looking to clinch but Sato is avoiding it.
Zaitsev moves into the clinch successfully.
Sato jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Zaitsev walks away with a smile on his face. Sato gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Sato should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Zaitsev throws a sloppy head kick and Sato moves out of range easily.

Sato tries to pull guard but Zaitsev won't allow it.

Zaitsev throws a strike but Sato rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Zaitsev wants to stand but Sato is controlling the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Zaitsev has Sato pulled in close to control his posture.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sato drops back looking for a leg! Zaitsev is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Zaitsev manages to kick Sato off! Sato jumps back into Zaitsev's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Zaitsev is looking to stand up but Sato isn't so interested in that idea.
Zaitsev knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sato on the ground.

Zaitsev tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Sato presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sato working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Zaitsev looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Sato! Submission of the night perhaps?
