Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Proto Type! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Aleksander Beckehel! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Chris Edwards and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beckehel lands a head kick!
It looks like Proto Type has been cut. Beckehel misses with a double jab.
Beckehel lands a nice looking kick to the body. Type takes a step back to recover. Beckehel scores with a head kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Type changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Beckehel looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Beckehel manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Type thows a huge punch but Beckehel dodges it nicely.
Type not landing any meaningful shots this time. Type throwing shots but Beckehel is blocking nicely. Beckehel wants to get back to his feet.
Beckehel blocking the ground and pound attempt from Type. Type throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Type lands with a punch from half guard. Beckehel is trying to stand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Type connects with a nice short shot to Beckehel's temple. Beckehel blocking the ground and pound attempt from Type.

Type missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Type not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Beckehel avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Type. Type is breathing heavily. Type scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Type is nestled in close to Beckehel, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Beckehel is trying to maintain the position but Type is very close to passing his half guard. Beckehel blocking the ground and pound attempt from Type. Type looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Type seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Type lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Beckehel is trying to stand.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Beckehel is trying to maintain the position but Type is very close to passing his half guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Type thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Beckehel's head.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Type dives in and grabs Beckehel's left leg, looking for a takedown. Beckehel pushes down on Type's head and hops out. No luck for Type with that takedown attempt. Beckehel plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Type takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Beckehel moves in looking to clinch but Type pushes him off. Type shoots in looking for a takedown. Beckehel tries to sprawl out of it but Type keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Beckehel manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Proto Type. That's going to take a lot out of him. Horrible takedown by Type or perhaps it was just good defense by Beckehel which made him look bad.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Type keeps the fight on the outside. Type scores a takedown into full mount! Beckehel holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Type tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Beckehel tries to hold on but Type postures up. Beckehel trying desperately to get to his feet.
Type has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Beckehel tries to lock up and control but Type gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Type is landing with some decent strikes but Beckehel is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Beckehel tries to hold on but Type postures up. Type fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Type has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Beckehel's face.
You get the feeling that Beckehel really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Type landing punches. Beckehel is bucking up trying to escape but Type cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Beckehel is in a horrible position here. Type smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Beckehel takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Type working the ground and pound effectively.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Type working away from the top, dropping strikes. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Type lands a nice shot to the head. Type cracks Beckehel with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Proto Type will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Proto Type's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Type scores with a takedown into Beckehel's guard. Beckehel manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Type wants to control but Beckehel is having none of it. Beckehel manages to capitalize on a mistake by Type to take his back! Type trying to control the hands but Beckehel won't let him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Type really must keep his cool here. He's controlling one of Beckehel's hands and whilst he does that, he's got a chance of escaping the position. Type tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
That's one minute gone in the round. Beckehel can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Type is looking to escape. Type is wriggling around trying to escape.
Beckehel wants to control the pace but Type is squirming around nicely. Type on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Type tries to get out of the position. Type is trying to escape the mount.
Beckehel wants to stand but Type is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Type sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Type wants to improve his position but Beckehel is controlling well.
Beckehel is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Type is refusing to be controlled, as Beckehel sits in half guard. Type holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Type is trying to get back to full guard. Type keeping control of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beckehel wants to control but Type is keeping him busy. Type controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Beckehel wants to take a breather but Type is having none of it. Type is looking to improve his position.
Type regains full guard. Nicely done. Beckehel trying to stand up but can't free himself from Type's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Type pulls Beckehel in close to his closed guard and prevents Beckehel from doing any damage or advancing position. Type looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Type wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Proto Type just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Beckehel wants to clinch up but Type keeps it at a distance. Beckehel throws a head kick that misses. Beckehel lands a head shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Proto Type dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Proto Type's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Type shoots in and bounces Beckehel off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Type working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Type postures up in Beckehel's guard and throws a big left but Beckehel blocks it. Type trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Type stops Beckehel from standing up. Type throws a big right hand that misses. Type works over Beckehel with some ground and pound from guard. Beckehel is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Type is controlling him. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Type's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Type throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Type shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Type slips a nice elbow through Beckehel's hands, connecting with Beckehel's forehead.

Type is taking a breather. Beckehel says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Type fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Beckehel sprawls well initially but Type persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Beckehel is trying to stand back up but Type is controlling him

That's four minutes gone in the round. Type can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Beckehel is looking to escape. Type avoids the attempt from Beckehel to control. Type content just to control the position here. Aleksander Beckehel has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
And that's the end of the fight! Proto Type showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Type, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
