Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Velazquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Garth Haverbrook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Velazquez comes to the cage accompanied by Cowboys from hell. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velazquez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Haverbrook's waist but Haverbrook gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Velazquez off to one side.

Haverbrook closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Haverbrook looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Haverbrook perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Haverbrook is pressing down on Velazquez's thigh, looking to free his foot. Velazquez is holding on for now.
Velazquez gets full guard.
Velazquez can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Haverbrook controls the pace.
Velazquez is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Haverbrook is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Velazquez is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Haverbrook is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
