Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leo Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chew Bacca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bacca has chosen Its Raining Men as his entrance music. Chew Bacca struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Leo Rua! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chew Bacca! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Alexandre Firmino and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bacca fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Bacca thows a body shot but no joy. Rua tries to clinch there but Bacca circles away.
Rua clinches. Rua is trying to stall.
Bacca manages to break the clinch.
Rua throws a nice looking combination but Bacca bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Rua really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Rua fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Bacca steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Rua. That one must have hurt. Bacca takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Bacca fails with the takedown and Rua counters with a two punch combo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bacca takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Rua takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Bacca keeps the fight on the outside. Rua fails with the takedown. Bacca stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leo Rua. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bacca moves into the clinch. Rua is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Bacca fails to pull guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Rua blocks an elbow strike. Bacca breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bacca tries a head kick but it misses.

Bacca looks gassed! Rua tries for a takedown but Bacca circles away easily and Bacca counters with a nice double leg into guard. Rua is looking to stand up but Bacca isn't so interested in that idea. Bacca wants to stand but Rua has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rua throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Rua pulls Bacca in close to his closed guard and prevents Bacca from doing any damage or advancing position. Rua wants to sweep but no luck. Rua doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Rua is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rua looking to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Rua looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Rua wants to stand up but Bacca is controlling him. Rua is working an open guard so Bacca takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Rua leaves Bacca with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Rua shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bacca pinned against the cage. Bacca gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Rua shoots for a double leg takedown but Bacca sprawls well. He's pushed Rua's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Leo Rua will probably get the nod. That's time! Rua's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Bacca has a takedown stuffed. Rua looks for the body kick but Bacca saw that one coming. Bacca scores with a takedown into Rua's guard. Bacca trying to control but Rua is working from the bottom. Bacca won't allow Rua to get back to his feet. Rua wants to sweep but no luck. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rua working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bacca doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bacca manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Bacca tries to stand but Rua is controlling from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rua is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bacca is aware though and is defending well. Bacca won't allow Rua to get back to his feet. Rua is working an open guard so Bacca takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Rua rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bacca moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bacca shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rua defends it nicely. Bacca is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Rua closes the distance and clinches. Rua can't get the takedown.
Bacca manages to pull guard.
Bacca has Rua pulled in close to control his posture. Bacca pushes Rua off and gets back to his feet.
Rua fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bacca avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rua clinches but Bacca breaks the clinch and Bacca counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Rua thinking. Bacca closes the distance and lands a one-two. Rua darts in trying to clinch so Bacca counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Bacca must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bacca trying to control the position from guard on top but Rua is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rua looking for a sweep. Not yet Rua, not yet. Rua keeping moving, preventing Bacca from controlling successfully. Rua wants to sweep but no luck. Rua working for a triangle but Bacca defends it easily.
Bacca won't allow Rua to sweep him here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chew Bacca showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Rua throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bacca. Bacca fails in his attempt to clinch. Rua wants to clinch but Bacca slips to the side and Bacca counters with a single leg into guard. Rua didn't expect that. Rua is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Bacca throwing strikes but missing. Bacca lands a couple of decent looking shots. Bacca tries to free his leg and advance position but Rua is retaining full guard. Rua is trying to keep Bacca in close.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rua is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Bacca tries to pull guard but Rua won't allow it.

Bacca drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Rua manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bacca has Rua in his guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rua accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rua trying to control but Bacca is working from the bottom. Rua is looking to work some ground and pound but Bacca has wrist control. Bacca is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Bacca has his hands on Rua's head, controlling the position. Bacca has a closed guard, preventing Rua from standing up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Rua slaps away a takedown attempt from Bacca, before circling back to the center of the mat. Rua has his takedown stuffed and Bacca decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rua's guard. Bacca pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rua is keeping the position for now. Chew Bacca has got the better of the ground game so far. Bacca got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rua has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bacca has managed to get both his arms back between Rua's legs - danger averted.

And that's the end of the fight! Chew Bacca comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Bacca has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
