Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rick Astley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Dekker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Astley comes to the cage accompanied by Never Gonna Give You Up Hip-Hop Beat. Dekker has chosen Freak on a leash as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Rick Astley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bobby Dekker! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Astley fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Astley bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dekker is looking to regain half guard here but Astley keeps moving and retains side control. Astley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Astley trying to control the position but Dekker is working away. Astley working away. Dekker is looking to reverse the position. Astley staying calm. Astley working away. Astley stands up and we're back to a striking position. Astley gets a takedown into half guard. Dekker is looking to control Astley's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dekker avoid being mounted?
That's one minute gone in the round. Astley is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Astley is trying to control the action in half guard but Dekker is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Astley wants to stand up but Dekker is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Astley throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Dekker slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Dekker looking to hit a scissor sweep but Astley is one step ahead there. Dekker pulls Astley in close to prevent any damage. Dekker throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Astley trying to control the position from guard on top but Dekker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dekker can do anything to dispel that myth. Dekker will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Dekker had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Astley is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Dekker Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Astley's back instead. Dekker looks gassed! Astley tries to escape the position.
Dekker lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Astley trying to control the hands but Dekker won't let him. Dekker is working the ground and pound. Can Astley escape? Dekker punishes Astley with strikes from the back mount. Dekker throwing damaging strikes from the back! Astley could be in trouble here!
Dekker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Astley is trapped and Dekker is scoring with shots to the head and body. Astley trying to control the hands but Dekker breaks the grip. Dekker tightening his grip on Astley, looking for the choke. Astley can't escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dekker connects with a big shot to the side of Astley's head.
Dekker wants to control but Astley is keeping busy. Dekker lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Astley hold on?!
Dekker loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Astley hold on?
Astley manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position. Dekker takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Astley is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Dekker misses with a takedown and Astley counters with a takedown into side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Astley decides to stand back up. Astley steps back and let's Dekker get back to his feet. Astley tries to close the distance and clinch but Dekker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Astley lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Dekker tries for a takedown but Astley circles away easily so Astley counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Astley trying to control but Dekker is working from the bottom. Astley has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Dekker manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Astley manages to get himself to full guard.
Dekker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Astley is trying to keep Dekker in close.
Dekker distracts Astley with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Dekker stays in close to Astley's body and controls the position. Dekker trying to control the position from guard on top but Astley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dekker is fighting to break Astley's control of his arms but Astley is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Astley is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Astley decides to stand and escape the position. Dekker with a poor takedown and Astley counters by moving into the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rick Astley dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Dekker gets caught flat footed, as Astley shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dekker is on top in guard.
Dekker landing some decent shots from guard. Dekker gets to his feet and stands over Astley, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Astley felt that one! Dekker unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Astley from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bobby Dekker!
