Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brad Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan comes to the cage accompanied by Freestyler. Rodriguez has chosen In for the Kill as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jesus Rodriguez was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez fails to land the takedown.

Rodriguez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ryan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Ryan tries to bench press Rodriguez off him but Rodriguez keeps the position.
Ryan gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Rodriguez prevents Ryan from improving his position.
Ryan is working hard here to advance position.
Rodriguez tries to pass the half guard into mount. Ryan knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Ryan is controlling Rodriguez's trapped leg to prevent Rodriguez from advancing to side control.
Ryan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Ryan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rodriguez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rodriguez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Ryan seems keen to control Rodriguez's posture.

Rodriguez slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
