Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Russell Pearce and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jerman darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McGruff looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
McGruff keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Jerman seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Jerman wants to advance to full mount but McGruff doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jerman throws a strike but McGruff rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Jerman wants to stand and escape but McGruff is having none of it.

McGruff is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's one minute gone in the round.
McGruff sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jerman's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jerman can do anything to dispel that myth.
McGruff is trying for a kimura here. Jerman looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! McGruff wins by kimura!
