Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Malcon McDowell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bosse Stenhard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stenhard is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Blur - Song 2. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stenhard defending well as McDowell loads up on a big left hand.
McDowell really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
McDowell leaves Stenhard with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
McDowell swings and misses with a hook to the body.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as McDowell checks a leg kick.

Stenhard feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

McDowell tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Stenhard paws at him with a jab and circles away.

McDowell misses with an uppercut. Stenhard saw that one coming.
Stenhard fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McDowell avoids it really well and circles away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McDowell bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

McDowell tries to clinch but Stenhard is having none of it.

Stenhard is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Stenhard wants to stand but McDowell has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
McDowell is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Bosse Stenhard showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
McDowell throws the left hand but Stenhard avoids the punch easily.
Stenhard shoots for a double leg takedown but McDowell sprawls well. He's pushed Stenhard's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
